Amsterdam JUG Meetup at Flagsmith

Two talks at Flagsmith's Plantage Kerklaan office, hosted by the Amsterdam Java User Group. Simon Schrottner of Flagsmith covers feature flags once the easy part is over: several languages to support, targeted evaluation, vendor lock-in and retiring dead flags, and how OpenFeature's vendor-agnostic SDKs handle them. Zeljko Kozina of Chronomill follows with wrapping an ageing Java service -- dozens of REST endpoints, a SOAP relic, session auth, nobody left who understands it -- as MCP tools so AI agents can call it without a rewrite. Free, 18:00 to 21:00. The listing is on waitlist. The group takes speaker proposals by email for later editions. Why go: the MCP-over-legacy-Java talk is the problem most enterprise teams are about to hit, and it is rare to hear it addressed without a rewrite pitch attached. Best for Java and platform engineers and architects carrying old services.
