Apache Iceberg Europe Community Meetup - Amsterdam

Community meetup on Apache Iceberg, the open table format behind a growing share of data lakes. Presented by Vakamo, the team behind the Lakekeeper catalog, and co-hosted by Booking.com at Oosterdokskade 163. Five talks. Matt Sidley of Snowflake on what Iceberg V4 changes in the metadata layer. Shreyam Sinha of Booking.com on moving from AWS Glue to Snowflake Horizon. Viktor Kessler of Vakamo on catalogs and agentic readiness. Amit Gilad of lakeOps on running several engines over one table. Will Martin of Dremio/SAP on data sovereignty with open source. Doors 17:00, talks from 18:00, close 21:00. Free, in person or remote-only livestream. In-person guests are pre-registered by name for building access, so bring ID. Why go: V4 is the live design question for the format, and you hear it from people implementing it, next to a real migration story from a large Iceberg shop. Best for data engineers and platform leads choosing or running a catalog.
