Beyond the Build: The Missing Link

A Birmingham Tech Week fringe session at the NatWest Accelerator on why websites that are technically sound still fail as business tools, hosted by Web Pulse Marketing. The argument is about handoffs. Developers own functionality, designers own presentation and usability, marketers own audience, messaging and lead generation, and the three are usually planned and delivered separately. The result is a site that works in one dimension and underperforms as a whole, or a marketing plan that cannot be built because the technical constraints arrived too late.
