About this event

Looking for Growth West Midlands opens up its civic-AI work for Birmingham Tech Week. The group demos Ask Ozzy, its open-source civic intelligence platform, alongside other products and prototypes members have built, then runs a hackathon-lite vibe-coding workshop where attendees build something with AI-assisted tools on the night. Six hours at The Victoria on John Bright Street, from 17:00. Free, open registration, 46 signed up at the time of listing. Aimed at founders, developers, students and public-sector staff who want to point AI at regional problems rather than talk about it. Why go: it is a building room, not a panel. You leave with a prototype and with the names of the people in the West Midlands actually shipping civic AI. Best for developers, and for anyone in local government or public services who wants to see what a working civic AI tool looks like up close.
