TechMids Conf 2026

Birmingham's community tech conference, assembled out of the city's own meetups - Fusion, Women in Tech, Golang, .NET/MAUI - across three tracks at the Everyman in the Mailbox. Twenty speakers announced, sessions of 30 to 45 minutes, 250 seats. On the bill: Kevlin Henney on Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey Stuff, Eli Holderness of the Bennett Institute on Language Games, Martin Reynolds, Field CTO at Harness, on unreviewed pull requests, Jim Seconde of Vonage on slop-driven development, and Dr Steven Trotter of Wyser on terminal UIs. A Goldman Sachs sponsor keynote opens one track. Doors 08:30, welcome 09:30, sessions to 17:15, lunch, refreshments and the post-event social included. Paid - the organiser publishes no price on the conference site; tickets are on Ti.to. Why go: the whole Midlands tech community in one building for a day, and a speaker list of working engineers rather than vendor keynotes. Best for engineers and tech leads anywhere in the region.
