Tech events in Amsterdam this week: a date we got wrong, and an empty Sunday (6-12 November 2026)

Fourteen Amsterdam tech events, 6-12 Nov: Do iOS at NEMO, a free agent-security hackathon at Mollie, TEDxAmsterdam - and a correction to a date we printed.

Tech events in Amsterdam this week: a date we got wrong, and an empty Sunday (6-12 November 2026)

Last week we sent you to Keizersgracht 127 on Thursday evening for Forward Deployed: with Wonderful. It had already moved, and our row said 5 November for fourteen days before we caught it. That is our error and the fix is below. Ahead of us: fourteen tech events in Amsterdam, ten of them free, back-loaded, and completely empty for two days in the middle. We are still building this city out, so the networking events in Amsterdam on this page are a curated slice rather than the whole scene.

Last week, briefly

Forward Deployed: with Wonderful is now Wednesday 18 November, 17:00-19:00. Not 5 November, which is the date we published. The new row is live, the 5 November slot is empty, and the subject is unchanged: embedding engineers inside customers instead of shipping one-size-fits-all SaaS. If you blocked last Thursday evening for it, you lost an evening because of us.

The rest of last Thursday happened, and it was the busiest day of the autumn: Meet Magento, Forward Summit, DDMA Experimentation Heroes and Hisko Hulsing on AI and animation, all inside one day. Nothing that size repeats this week - a thin front half, then a Thursday carrying six rooms.

Walkable: the centre and the IJ

The week opens on Friday with the Female Founders Brunch at Capital C's Bloemenmarkt space on the Singel, 10:00, free. Female founders, entrepreneurs and investors, on starting, funding and growing. A brunch with investors in the room and no stage beats an evening mixer.

Wednesday night, AMS DB is in the Disruption Hall at Epicenter, 19:00, free, hosted by TiDB. Ian Zhai on distributed transactional databases - the kind of evening where the questions beat the talk.

Thursday afternoon, TEDxAmsterdam 2026: After Growth at Pakhuis de Zwijger from 15:00, €48.15. Sixteenth main event, and the theme has teeth: what happens to technology, business models and cities when endless expansion stops being the goal.

Worth the ride

Saturday is Coffee Coding at The Coffee Room on Bilderdijkstraat, 10:30, free - Appsterdam's standing session: laptop, whatever you are stuck on, programmers either side.

Tuesday evening, DevOps Amsterdam is back at ING's Cedar building by Bijlmer Arena, 18:30, free. First meetup after a break, three 30-minute talks, opening with Nikhil Gupta on an AIOps design that prepares incidents rather than reacting to them.

Wednesday daytime, THE AI SHIFT: From Idea to Impact at the Van der Valk Zuidas from 09:30, €361.79 - Netventis on getting AI out of prototype, with practitioners from PwC, Cargill and the University of Amsterdam. The priciest ticket on the page.

Thursday, once the offices empty: DDMA's Digital Analytics meetup at Digital Power on the Wenckebachweg, 16:30, free, Saskia Heyster on what conversational analytics can and cannot do; then Amsterdam Tech Connect at Berghaus, Koningin Wilhelminaplein 2A, 19:00, €10 - three founder talks for the price of a beer.

Register first, the address follows

Four rooms want you signed up before you know where to stand.

DuckDB + Hugging Face runs Wednesday 13:00 at AWS Amsterdam, free: 2.1 million real Amazon reviews, DuckDB, one feedback pipeline end to end. Bring a laptop. ChemAI x Deep Tech Builders opens Thursday at 13:00 in AI House in the Prosus building, free - day one of ChemAI 2026 on AI in chemistry and materials, execution over theory. Day two is Friday 13 November at Hotel Casa, just past our window.

Thursday at 19:00, two more with no address on the row: the Amsterdam Tech Job Fair, exhibition-style, no talks, free, going since 2017 - our field reads "Venue to be announced" - and ProductTank Amsterdam with Francesca Cortesi, CPO at Vend, on growing a product without losing focus.

Hidden gem: breaking agents at Mollie

SAAF Security Challenge: Help secure our agents is a free one-day hackathon at Mollie on Tuesday from 10:00, and the most interesting thing on the page nobody is talking about. Red teams from Prosus and Skuridat attack an open-source agent built for audit, risk and compliance work; everybody else hardens what they break. Agents are being pushed into compliance workflows across Dutch finance, and almost nobody tests them adversarially in public. The follow-up - solving the last layer - is on 17 November, so Tuesday is the half to be in.

Who should go where

Designers and product people, Thursday is yours and it clashes with itself. ProductTank at 19:00 for growth versus focus; DDMA at 16:30 if conversational analytics is landing on your roadmap; TEDx from 15:00 for the long view. Pick by whether you need a playbook or a rethink.

Builders, Tuesday. SAAF at Mollie if you want to break something, Do iOS if you ship on Apple platforms, DevOps Amsterdam in the evening if you carry a pager. Wednesday's DuckDB workshop is the best free hands-on hour of the week.

Founders, Friday morning and nothing after. The Female Founders Brunch is the only room where investors turn up as participants rather than speakers. THE AI SHIFT at €361.79 is a corporate-adoption conference - skip it unless you sell into enterprises.

Sales and marketing, one real pick. DDMA on Thursday. The rest is engineers and conference floors.

Worth knowing

Sunday and Monday are empty. Not quiet - empty. Zero events on our Amsterdam page for 8 and 9 November. A gap like that is as likely to be ours as the scene's. If you run something on a Sunday or Monday here, send it over.

The Nursery's branding and storytelling session on 18 November is sold out, so do not build a fortnight around it. TAG's Co-Workday on 4 November also sold out with registration closed, which is why you never saw it from us; it runs twice a month, so watch for the next.

Do iOS reads paid with no figure and we are not estimating one. Our price field also defaults to free when an organiser publishes nothing, so treat a free daytime listing as a hint. Appsterdam's Saturday, the two meetups and the job fair genuinely are free.

The Big One: Do iOS 2026, from Tuesday

Do iOS 2026 takes the NEMO Science Museum beside Amsterdam Centraal from Tuesday 10 November, 10:00 - the Netherlands' iOS developer conference, eighth edition, a workshop day followed by two days of talks. Paid; no price on our row.

It is the week's biggest room and the easiest to justify. Eight editions means the programme committee knows the difference between a talk that demos and a talk that changes how you build. If you write Swift for a living in the Netherlands, this is the fixed point of your year. If you do not, note that it holds the first three days of the week, which is part of why Tuesday onwards feels crowded.

Fourteen rooms, ten free, two days with nothing in them and one date we had to correct: the full Amsterdam listings are here. Tell us what we are missing - a meetup on your street, a Sunday session, anything in Noord. Early readers shape what this page covers.
