Berlin tech events this week: what the ticket price buys (2–8 October 2026)
Berlin tech events 2–8 Oct: nine on the city page and four of them paid.
Nine events on the Berlin city page between Friday and Thursday, and four of them want your money. That ratio is unusual here — Berlin's tech events run free-by-default, and a week where the biggest rooms all sit behind a paywall changes how you plan it. So we've sorted this week's networking events in Berlin by what they cost, starting with the five that cost nothing.
One thing up front, because it's true: our Berlin feed has not had a curation pass since 17 September. Everything below is verified. But Berlin is running about two weeks behind the rest of our network on sourcing, so treat this as nine events we're confident about rather than nine events that are all there is.
Free networking events in Berlin this week
Tue 6 Oct, 09:00 — Silicon Allee Monthly Meet Up, St. Oberholz Oranienstraße. First-Tuesday morning coffee with Berlin's longest-running tech network. No agenda, no pitching, come with whatever you're building. If you're new to the city this is the cheapest way in there is.
Tue 6 Oct, 17:00 — Afrotech Berlin meetup, Ampere Garden, hosted by the Black community at GetYourGuide. It runs as a human library rather than a panel: real people available for short conversations on things like changing careers at 31 or failing a promotion. That format is rarer than it should be.
Tue 6 Oct, 19:00 — Women of SaaS Berlin — SaaS Week Berlin Side Event, Doctolib. What an AI-native company actually looks like in 2026 — not a company that uses AI, but one rebuilding headcount, hierarchy and hiring around what the tools can now do. There's a wider SaaS Week running around this; we've only sourced this session, so we're not going to list a programme we haven't verified.
Thu 8 Oct, 17:00 — Thursday Gathering #73 — CIC & Venture Café Berlin Birthday Celebration, CIC Berlin. The birthday edition of the weekly gathering: programme, demo tables and open networking, with more of the community in the building than a normal Thursday. The free community pick of the week.

Thu 8 Oct, 19:00 — Female Founders Pitch Night — Project Ada @ Enpal, Enpal HQ. Women-founded startups pitching to investors and operators, with feedback delivered live rather than behind a closed door. Free, and one of the more reliable places in Berlin to see companies genuinely early.
The big one: BITES 26, and it's today
Fri 2 Oct, from 10:00 — BITES 26: Black in Tech Europe Summit, Berlin Global Village, €44.

One of Europe's largest conferences for Black tech professionals, back in Berlin for a full day: career and leadership tracks, technical sessions, an evening programme, and hiring partners in the room rather than on a slide. That last part separates it from most conferences that talk about careers — the recruiting function is real. €44 for that is the best value on the Berlin calendar this week by a clear margin, and it's the one event here you can't defer, because it's happening as this goes out.
What the paid rooms cost
Four paid events, from a fiver to four hundred euros:
- Mon 5 Oct, 17:30 — Foundacious #2: Berlin, WeWork Warschauer Platz, €5. The finale of the second Foundacious season, built entirely around fundraising: three speakers including Christoph Jentzsch (CEO, beel), then networking with business angels and VCs from across the region. Supported by WeWork, CMS, BAND and the BACB. €5 for that room is the best price-to-access ratio in Berlin this week.
- Mon 5 Oct, 18:30 — AGETECHX 2026, €400, two days, address with the RSVP. The longevity economy taken seriously: by 2050 one in three Europeans will be over 60, and health, care, housing, finance and work all have to rebuild around that. Startups, investors, corporates and care operators in one room — a rare combination.
- Wed 7 Oct, 09:00 — droidCon Berlin, paid, price not published, venue on registration. Three days of Android engineering inside Berlin Dev Week: Kotlin, tooling, architecture, platform direction, an international speaker line-up — co-located with FlutterCon Europe, reactCon, swiftcon and xr&gamesCon. If you write mobile code, this is your week in this city.
- And BITES 26 above, at €44.
Who should go where
Founders. Foundacious on Monday, and it isn't close: three fundraising talks and a room of angels for €5. If you're earlier than that — pre-product, still deciding what you're building — Silicon Allee on Tuesday morning instead. Nobody there will ask for your deck.
Investors. A short list, but a pointed one. Project Ada's pitch night on Thursday is where the genuinely early women-founded companies are, and it's free. AGETECHX if demographic change is a thesis for you rather than a theme — it's the only Berlin room this week with care operators and corporate buyers actually sitting in the audience.
Builders. droidCon if you ship Android; the co-located conferences make one ticket stretch further than it looks. If you don't, Women of SaaS on Tuesday is the more interesting technical conversation of the week — AI-native org design is a harder problem than most AI talks admit to.
Sales and marketing. Your week is quiet. BITES 26 today is the one room with volume and a commercial function in it. After that, keep your evenings.
Worth knowing
- Two listings have no address, and that's on purpose. AGETECHX and droidCon both have empty venue fields. We deleted an unverified Berlin address from two other rows on 28 September for exactly this reason: an unverified address does more harm than a blank one. Register and the organiser sends it.
- droidCon's price isn't stored. We know it's paid. We don't have the figure, so we're not printing one.
- An "available" ticket label proves nothing this week. Our ingest normalises sold-out, waitlist and invite-only back to "available" — three separate city runs confirmed it. Check the organiser's own page before you count on a seat.
- Next weekend, already gated: MeasureCamp Berlin 2026 on Sat 10 Oct, hosted at SumUp, is on a waitlist. Outside this window, but if you want in, act now rather than next Friday. Scala Days follows on the 12th and the Berlin AI Conference on the 15th.
Are these events really free?
The five above are, as far as we can verify from the organisers. One caveat worth carrying with you: our own API defaults a missing price to "free", so a free label elsewhere on the site is occasionally our software rather than the organiser's claim. Where we know the price is simply unpublished — droidCon this week — we say that instead of guessing.
One ask, and we mean this one
Berlin's feed is two weeks behind and we won't pretend otherwise. If you run a meetup, a hackathon, a pitch night or a SaaS Week session that isn't on our Berlin listings, send it over this week. Berlin is the city where we most need readers to tell us what we're missing, and next Friday's post is shaped by whatever lands between now and then.
