Tech events in Dublin this week: pick your format (2–8 October 2026)
Fifteen Dublin tech events, 2–8 October: two conferences on Wednesday morning, six things on Thursday, and a B2B growth workshop capped at ten people.
Tech events in Dublin this week: pick your format (2–8 October 2026)
Ten seats. That is the entire guest list for Product Garage × Fierce: Solve a Real B2B Growth Challenge — Tuesday 6 October, 13:30, Dogpatch Labs, free — where Dublin PMs and go-to-market operators take somebody's actual growth problem apart. The cap is the point. Ten people is a working session; forty is a talk with biscuits.

Good way into a fifteen-event week, too: the useful question about Dublin tech events right now is not what they are about — half are about AI — but what you will be doing in the room.
You will be doing the work
The UCD IDEATHON opens the week on Monday 5 October, 15:15, at the O'Connor Centre for Learning, free: a real challenge, a team, an idea built from scratch in an afternoon, no prior experience assumed. The friendliest thing on the calendar.
Thursday 8 October, 18:00, the Dublin MongoDB User Group runs Make Your Agents Remember — AI Memory Workshop & Retrieval Challenge at MongoDB, free — hands-on work on the problem everyone shipping agents hits: the thing forgets everything the second the conversation ends. There's a challenge at the end, so bring a working laptop.
Bring your stack
- Agentic AI on Snowflake — Tuesday 6 October, 18:00, Clayton Hotel Charlemont, free. Data-engineering-flavoured, and one of the better-attended data meetups here.
- Workday Ireland RUG — Wednesday 7 October, 09:45, Salesforce Tower, free. Irish Workday admins swapping what works. Unglamorous; exactly what a user group is for.
- Apache Kafka × Apache Flink Meetup — Thursday 8 October, 18:00, hosted by Autodesk on Windmill Lane, free. Streaming end of the house. Read the FAQ first.
Someone talks, then nobody leaves
- Dublin AI Week Meetup — Wednesday 7 October, 18:00, Grant Thornton on City Quay, free. CHAI Dublin with Give a Go on running useful AI on your own machine, and the open-source stack underneath it. Strong turnout already.
- Triad Dynamics: Design, Product, and Engineering on what actually works — Thursday 8 October, 18:00, LearnUpon, free. Ladies that UX Dublin on the three-way relationship that decides whether anything ships.
No agenda, just the room
- LegalTech Dublin — October Meetup — Tuesday 6 October, 18:00, Bad Bobs in Temple Bar, free. Casual, and legaltech is small enough here that everyone in it turns up.
- Networking for founders, creators, freelancers + rebels ⚡ — Wednesday 7 October, 18:30, NYX Hotel Portobello, free. A Dublin AI Week roundtable for people doing real AI work, away from the pitch-competition circuit.
- Tech in a Circle — Thursday 8 October, 19:00, Google's Dockmill building. Paid, and the price is published nowhere we can read it, so we will not guess a figure. Low-key format, strong room.
The Big One, twice over: Wednesday morning is a two-conference problem
Dublin has put its two best days-out on the same morning, which is slightly unfair.
GEC Startup to Scale Conference 2026 — Wednesday 7 October, 09:30, the Guinness Enterprise Centre, €25. The GEC's annual go at the hardest transition there is: hiring past your first ten, raising a Series A from Dublin, and the things that quietly snap at that size. Twenty-five euro is the best value on the calendar, and the GEC's own alumni will be in the room — the real reason to go.

2026 UCD Conway Festival of Research & Innovation — Wednesday 7 October, 10:00, UCD Conway Institute, free. The Conway opens its biomedical research year to industry: the cheapest route into a building you usually need an introduction to enter.
Commercial problem, go to the GEC. Product that touches a clinician or a lab, go to Conway. Thursday adds a third: Build Digital National Conference 2026: Infrastructure and the Weather — 8 October, 09:00, Concert Hall, TU Dublin Grangegorman, free — on digitising construction for a wetter climate.
Hidden gem: the un-conference at RCSI
The Digital Health Un-Conference — Thursday 8 October, 18:30, RCSI on St Stephen's Green, free. Health2.0 Dublin's first un-conference: no programme, the room picks the topics, and the question is how far Irish digital health has got. Over fifty have signed up already — for a first outing of an open format, that is the signal.
Who should go where
Product and design people — the strongest week of anyone's. Product Garage on Tuesday if you get a seat, Triad Dynamics on Thursday if you don't. Between them, the problem and the politics.
Founders — the GEC on Wednesday; treat the €25 as the cheapest coffee meeting you'll buy this year. Earlier-stage, Monday's Ideathon and Thursday's Tech in a Circle are rooms where nobody asks for metrics.
Builders — Thursday at 18:00 is a three-way fight: MongoDB for agent memory, Autodesk for streaming, LearnUpon for product and engineering. Choose on what you shipped last month, not what sounds newest.
Investors — quieter. The GEC is where companies worth a second meeting will be standing; the rest is builders and user groups.
FAQ corner
Do I need ID to get into these?
For corporate-office venues, yes — Autodesk says so outright on the Kafka × Flink listing: bring valid photo ID and register your details in advance for building access. Three organisers across our cities required it in the last fortnight — a pattern, not a quirk. Book under the name on your ID.
Is 18:00 the start or the doors?
Usually the start; doors are earlier, and most listings, ours included, hold only one of the two numbers. Where both are published, arrive on the doors time. Last week's Linux Tech Talk is the model: 19:30 at Anseo, in the upstairs room — which our listing did not say until the organiser told us — with introductions first.
Worth knowing
- SaaStock is in Dublin this week, 6–8 October, and we do not have it. Biggest startup conference in the Dublin year, lanyards all over town, and no row in our events data — so there is no page for it here and we will not invent one. We teased it as "coming up" last week; now all we can say is that it's on. If you're in for it, Tuesday and Wednesday's evening meetups are a short walk away.
- One organiser credit is ours, not theirs. The UCD Ideathon listing publishes no organiser at all, so we attributed it to University College Dublin from the title and venue. Treat it loosely.
- Coming up, just outside this week: Ladies Who Launch 2026 Dublin Summit on 12 October at Stripe, free, and the Analytics + AI Summit on 13 October at the Convention Centre, paid.
Before you go
Fifteen events, six on Thursday, one of the best capped at ten people. Book Tuesday early, pick one of Wednesday's conferences, and don't try three things on Thursday night — the third is always the one you wanted.
The full Dublin listings have the rest. If you run something we've missed, send it over — a gap in our coverage is usually a gap in our sourcing, not in the city.
