Dublin tech events this week: the breather is over, and Stripe has three of them (6-12 November 2026)

Sixteen Dublin tech events, 6-12 Nov: From Demo to Dollars at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, three rooms at Stripe, IRISSCON at the Aviva Stadium.

Dublin tech events this week: the breather is over, and Stripe has three of them (6-12 November 2026)

Last week we called it a breather: eight rooms, we said, and three evenings off. It was actually nine - more below. This week there are sixteen tech events in Dublin, and the shape changed as much as the count. Four of them involve AI agents being handed a budget. Three of them are in the same building on Wilton Place. If you have been coasting on the quiet fortnight, the networking events in Dublin have stopped being optional again.

Last week, briefly

The AI Audit Spectrum ran at Squarespace House on Tuesday - Women in AI Ireland and PyData Ireland, panel then breakouts, and the format did what we said. Thursday's €5 dataviz unconference at The Digital Hub closed the week with no agenda and no speakers.

And the ninth room. SOLAINTE | BREAKPOINT - Superteam Ireland's Solana warm-up at BrewDog in Grand Canal Dock - reached our city page after we published, so last week's count was one short. Superteam is back on Friday, which is the useful part.

The rooms the community runs

Friday morning, Unlocking Wealth Strategies Through Tokenisation at Dogpatch Labs, 09:30, free. Superteam's weekly Talent Hub co-working day with a session built on top: Shiven Moodley on how tokenisation is opening up new wealth strategies. Registration is one click and still open.

Saturday, Cognition Builder Day at Baseline, 11:00, free. A full day giving Devin - Cognition's AI software engineer - real tasks from your own backlog and trying to ship. Bring the work you have been avoiding.

Monday night, Defuse 2026 from IxDA Dublin at the Sugar Club, 19:00, free. Twelve speakers, twenty slides each, fifteen seconds a slide. PechaKucha punishes waffle, and Ireland's interaction and service design crowd turn out for it.

Wednesday evening carries two. Founder Firesides: Building a GTM Engine That Scales at Dogpatch Labs, 17:00, free - Dogpatch and OpenAI on building a repeatable go-to-market engine, aimed at founders heading for their first €1m or scaling past it. Then Supabase x iru x Claude at Hen's Teeth, 18:00, free, themed "ship it like a dev": reviewing and testing AI-assisted scripts before they go near a device fleet.

The Big One: From Demo to Dollars, Friday 6 November

From Demo to Dollars: Building and Monetising AI Startups at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, 12:30 to 14:00, D08 YPP9, free. We checked the time and address against the organiser's own reminder this week, so plan around those, not a calendar invite you saved a fortnight ago.

It is the last GEC AI Forum of the year and the pitch is builder-first: AI founders, developers and product creators, explicitly not a sales gallery. It opens with an AI Demo Deep Dive. The reason to give up a lunchtime is the second half of the title. Dublin has plenty of rooms where AI gets demonstrated and very few where someone says what the thing charges, who pays it, and what happened when the price doubled. Ninety minutes and a hard stop at 14:00 keeps it on topic.

The rooms the multinationals open

Friday also starts at 08:00 with the ComReg Stakeholder Breakfast at The Marker Hotel, free - Ireland's communications regulator opening its annual breakfast to the sector it regulates, on the changes coming to the digital rulebook. The regulator hosts rather than defends, which changes the conversation.

Monday lunchtime, Breaking Boundaries in AI and Healthcare: AI Ethics at UCD, 13:00, free - one hour, one keynote.

Tuesday is the heaviest day. Extract Summit Dublin 2026 opens at 08:00 at the Radisson Blu Royal on Golden Lane - Zyte's eighth annual web-data conference, two days, on the engineering and legal realities of web scraping. Paid, no figure published. Azure & GitHub Community Day runs 10:00 at One Microsoft Court in Leopardstown, free, a full day on Azure, AI and GitHub. And at 18:30, The Digital Heartbeat Tech Talks with Medtronic at The Market Bar, free - the series leaves Galway for the first time after two sell-out evenings at the PorterShed. A series that sold out twice before it travelled is the one to register for early.

Wednesday, IRISSCON takes the Aviva Stadium for the day from 09:00 - IRISSCERT's annual cybercrime conference, ransomware and threat work, paid with no figure on the row. Thursday closes with Responsible AI in Learning at Chartered Accountants House, 17:00, free: Learnovate's last 2026 session on how AI regulation is landing on training, and what changes in 2027.

Theme of the week: agents that can pay

Four rooms assume an AI agent will spend money or ship code without a human in the loop, and three are Stripe's. MPP Hackathon Dublin is ninety minutes on Tuesday at 13:00, free, building something an agent can pay to use over the Machine Payments Protocol. Agentic Developer Day is the full Wednesday version from 08:30 at Wilton Place - workshops and a hackathon, not a stage. The Stripe Developer meetup closes it on Thursday at 18:00 in Fitzwilton House, one talk, Mark Doyle of Stripe. Add Saturday's Devin day and the argument is clear: payment rails for software that acts on its own are being built here, in public, for free.

Who should go where

Sales and marketing, Wednesday at five. The Dogpatch and OpenAI GTM fireside is the best room you have had in a month, and the €1m framing keeps it specific. Friday's From Demo to Dollars is the other one - monetisation is a marketing problem wearing an engineering badge.

Builders, you are spoiled. Tuesday's MPP hackathon if you have ninety minutes; Wednesday's Agentic Developer Day if you have a day; Saturday with Devin if you would rather spend it on your own backlog. Skip the all-day vendor conferences unless your employer pays.

Founders, Friday then Wednesday. The GEC lunchtime, then the GTM fireside. If you are raising rather than selling, this is not your week: no demo day, no pitch night.

Investors, one room. Extract Summit on Tuesday is two days of web-data engineering and its legal edges, which matters if you hold anything that scrapes. Otherwise sit this week out; next week has the AI Awards.

Worth knowing

eBay's Cursor community event is full. It is on Thursday 19 November, outside this week. One registration on 3 November went from approved to the waiting list inside 17 minutes. If you want that room, the list is the only route left.

Two rows read paid with no figure. Extract Summit and IRISSCON publish nothing we can read, and we are not estimating. Check before you commit budget.

Our price field defaults to free when an organiser publishes nothing, so treat a free daytime label as a hint. Superteam's Friday, Defuse, the Supabase meetup and the Stripe rooms genuinely are free to register.

Sixteen rooms, three of them at the same address: the full Dublin calendar is here. Running something we have not listed? Send it over - the page gets better because people tell us what is on. Over in Scotland, Edinburgh's week opens with a free hour arguing about datacentres.
