Tech events in Dublin this week: Monday eats the week (9-15 October 2026)

Twenty Dublin tech events, 9-15 October: six of them on Monday, SREcon leaves two socials behind, and Ladies Who Launch takes over Stripe's office.

Tech events in Dublin this week: Monday eats the week (9-15 October 2026)

Dublin tech events do not usually pile up on a Monday. This week six of our twenty do, and one building runs two at the same hour. Twenty events on the city page between Friday 9 and Thursday 15 October, seventeen free, and the gravity sits on a Monday evening that makes you choose between a founder summit in a payments office and a room full of people who have taken production down and lived.

The Big One: a founder summit inside a payments office

Ladies Who Launch 2026 Dublin Summit - Monday 12 October, 18:00, hosted by Stripe, free.

"Funded & Fearless: Build Smarter. Get Funded. Go Further." is the organisers' own framing, and it tells you which half of founding this evening is about. They run it as a summit, not a mixer: a programme and then the bar.

It is our Big One for the double act: a global payments HQ opening its doors to the earliest-stage end of the Irish founder scene, free, on a Monday. The whole Dublin proposition in one room, and the highest-scoring event on our board this week. One note - our row names Stripe as the venue, which is the host company rather than an address, so door details come with your registration.

The week, day by day

Friday 9 October. Dublin Demystifying Data Science For Everyone, 16:30, South County Business Park, free - built for non-specialists; bring the colleague who nods along in dashboard meetings. Tog's [Hack and Chill [No AI]](https://anopenroom.com/dublin/events/hack-and-chill-no-ai-1009) at 19:00 is a deliberately AI-free build night. At 21:00, Avalanche Team1 Dublin Connect x Dublin AI Week in JR Mahon's on Burgh Quay, free - Web3 builders and the last gasp of Dublin AI Week.

Saturday 10 October. One thing, online: the Dublin Linux Community's Coffee Meetup (virtual), 15:00, free - newcomers who know nothing about Linux explicitly welcome.

Monday 12 October. Six events. Beyond the Horizon: Space Workforce Summit at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, 10:30, free - the listing says entry is restricted, so register rather than turn up. At 13:15, CHAT - Research in Action at TU Dublin, free, on assistive technology across Irish and EU projects. Then the 18:00 collision: the summit above, or OOPS #18 - SREcon Social at The Ferryman. At 19:00 Tog runs Maker Night and Electronics Night at once - printers and laser cutter in one corner, soldering irons in the other.

Tuesday 13 October. The week's one big ticket: Analytics + AI Summit 2026, 09:30, The Convention Centre Dublin, EUR 385. Enterprise data platforms, EU AI Act governance, real case studies. Expensive, and the only room this week with Irish heads of data in volume. Free that evening: sustainability and innovation networking at 18:00 in Neary's, the SRECon Dublin Happy Hour by the Quay at 18:30, and Tog's Tuesday Open House at 19:00.

Wednesday 14 October. Unlock Lureo: Spatial Storytelling, 09:00, 11-15 Tara Street, free - a no-code workshop on location-based AR, unusual to find free here. At 10:00, GA4 alerting in practice from Analytics Pioneers Dublin, free, no venue on the row, joining details with your registration. At 18:00, Tech and Business Networking | Elevating Your Potential at Old Fashioned Sam's is paid, with no figure published.

Thursday 15 October. Microsoft's free Secure Copilot Enablement at 10:00 is vendor enablement for whoever owns the rollout. Then ProductTank: Making Better Product Decisions in the Age of AI, 18:00, free, Tor Svendsen on the one job a PM cannot delegate. Afterwards Techie Folks Meetup at The Crafty Fox, 19:00, paid, also with no figure.

Theme of the week: SREcon is in town and we only have the edges

Two of this week's rows exist because of a conference we do not list. OOPS #18 on Monday opens with John Allspaw of Adaptive Capacity Labs - as close to a founding text of modern incident response as this city will get in a pub - and Tuesday's happy hour is the ClickHouse Ireland User Group buying drinks for whoever wandered out of the conference centre.

SREcon itself has no row on our Dublin page, so we will not pretend to cover it. Same shape as SaaStock last week: the conference stays invisible to us, its fringe is where the conversation happens, and both these evenings are free.

Organiser spotlight: Tog Hackerspace

Four of this week's twenty are Tog's, and four of last week's were too - Hack and Chill, Maker Night, Electronics Night, Tuesday Open House. Nobody turns up this reliably, and none of it costs anything. Tuesday Open House is the one for strangers; Maker Night and Electronics Night are for people arriving with a project; Hack and Chill bans AI on purpose, which this October counts as a public service.

Who should go where

Builders, the week is yours. Monday at The Ferryman if you carry a pager; Allspaw is the draw, not the pints. Wednesday morning for the Lureo AR workshop. The GA4 alerting hour sounds like the dullest thing here and will save someone a quarter of silent data loss.

Founders. Monday, Stripe, free, and it is not close. Past the raising stage, Tuesday's EUR 385 summit is where your enterprise buyers are.

Product and design. Thursday, ProductTank, 18:00 - the strongest single talk on the board, and the Dublin product scene more or less complete afterwards.

Investors, your week is quiet. No demo day, no pitch night, nothing with a pipeline attached. Monday's summit is where the founders are; the rest is practitioners talking shop.

Worth knowing

  • A title correction, if you hold last week's ticket. The product carbon footprint session from last week has been renamed by its organiser: it is now "What Really Drives a Product Carbon Footprint... and How Businesses Can Use It", not "...and How Businesses Can Act". Our row still carries the old wording and the Eventbrite slug still reads `can-act`. That is the title you match against your ticket. It ran to 11:00.
  • We cannot store end times, so here is one. techBREK Quantum Series Event 2 finished at 10:00 by the organiser's own data; our rows carry no end time at all because the write path rejects the field. Assume ours is missing, not open-ended.
  • Three rows name a company where a building should be: Stripe, Microsoft Ireland and Baseline. Hosts, not addresses - we would rather say venue on registration than leave you guessing the floor.
  • Two paid events publish no price. Wednesday's Strive Networking mixer and Thursday's Techie Folks Meetup both read paid with no figure. We will not invent one; budget for a door charge we cannot size.

Before you go

Twenty events, six on Monday, one venue running two rooms at once. Clear Monday evening, decide whether you are a founder or an operator that night, and keep Thursday for ProductTank.

The full Dublin listings carry the rest of the month. If you run something we missed, send it over - this week we are missing an entire conference, so we are in no position to be proud.
