Tech events in London this week: three corrections first, then the fullest Thursday of the autumn (11-17 Sep 2026)
London tech events 11-17 Sep: the AWS Well-Architected meetup moved forward a week, the Trust Stack is near capacity, and Thursday holds thirteen rooms.
If your diary says Thursday 24 September for the AWS London Well-Architected User Group, change it. A venue booking clash moved the whole thing forward a week, and it now lands on Thursday 17 September — inside this week. That is the first of three corrections, and this week they go before everything else: there are 62 tech events in London between Friday 11 and Thursday 17 September, 51 of them free, 20 on our curated city page, and thirteen on Thursday alone. When the calendar is this full, what has changed is worth more than another list of what is on.
Three corrections before you book anything
The AWS Well-Architected meetup moved forward a week. AWS London Well-Architected User Group September Meetup now runs Thursday 17 September, 18:30–20:30, at Dragon Hall Trust, 17 Stukeley Street WC2B 5LT, free. Organiser James Harding announced the move on 8 September; the line-up is unchanged. Two talks: Harding himself, of Green Custard, on tooling for a more effective Well-Architected review, and Mahendran Selvakumar of Tata Consultancy Services on building an AWS Well-Architected MCP server. Doors 18:30 for a 19:00 start. The event's URL still carries the old date — cosmetic; the listing itself is right.
The Trust Stack in the Age of AI has the wrong organiser almost everywhere. The Trust Stack in the Age of AI runs Tuesday 15 September, 18:00–21:00, at the Barclays Innovation Hub, 41 Luke Street EC2A 4DP, free. It is hosted by Tech, No? as part of the London Design Festival; Barclays Eagle Labs operates the venue and is not the organiser, which we had wrong until this week too. The subject is identity, provenance and verification — the plumbing that has to work before an AI agent can transact on anyone's behalf — with speakers from GOV.UK's AI studio, OpenAI's deployment side and Projects by IF. It is approval-gated and near capacity: 78 registered, 22 places left, waitlist enabled. Apply today, not Monday.
The GirlsWhoML x PhysicsX Hackathon is full. The host wrote on 7 September that responses far exceeded the venue's capacity and registrations are being declined, so we are not linking you into a closed door. Cursor Conversations London, the same evening at 180 Health Club, has also gone. Two closed rooms on one night tells you what Tuesday is: get on waitlists early, or go to Mindstone.
The Big One: a Saturday inside the NHS problem space
AI Healthcare Hackathon with Anima x OpenAI runs Saturday 12 September, 08:30–20:30, free, venue released on registration. It is the only event in the seven days flagged both featured and hot, and it carries the highest heat score on our London board by a distance.
What separates it from the general run of AI build days is the problem set. Anima works inside NHS primary care, so the briefs come shaped like real clinical workflow rather than a generic dataset with a leaderboard bolted on, and the mentors have shipped into that environment. Twelve hours is long enough to get something demonstrable and short enough to force a scope decision by lunchtime. Bring a clinician if you know one.
The week ahead, by what it is for
Saturday is a build day, three times over. Beyond the Anima hackathon, Community Tooling Hack Day #2 takes 11:00–16:00 at Newspeak House, free — notanother.pizza on the tools meetup organisers actually need, with working groups on self-hosting community software, Slack alternatives, and the unglamorous business of sponsor money and legal setup. Same building, later start: London Builder HQ: AI x Stellar Protocol Hackathon from 14:00, free, from H.E.R. DAO. Newspeak House is having a week.
The agent thread runs Monday to Thursday. techUK's AI Leader's Series: Robotics in the Age of Agentic AI opens it Monday 10:00 at techUK, free, and Superthread x Plexal: Build with AI — Beyond the Vibe follows at 13:00 at Plexal, free. Open by Design: The Economics of AI in Production puts the cost question on the table Wednesday 18:30 at WeWork 10 York Road, free, from Together AI — the least-discussed constraint on every agent roadmap in the city. Google DeepMind x Corgi: London Builder Evening closes it Thursday 18:00 at Corgi Cafe, free and deliberately informal.
Two rooms about how work itself is changing. Global Disability Innovation Hub: 10 Years of Disability Innovation takes Monday 15:00–20:30 at Sadler's Wells East, free, agenda confirmed to us by the organiser — research, product and policy people in one room, rarer than it sounds. CodeYourFuture Demo Day runs Wednesday 14:00–17:00 at the Salvation Army International Headquarters, free: a graduating cohort of refugees and career-changers presenting. If you are hiring juniors, better than another CV pile.
If you sell things, Building an AI-Native GTM Org with Rippling, Clay and Cherry Ventures is a Wednesday 08:30–10:30 breakfast, free, on headcount, tooling and sequencing — the most concrete revenue session of the week. The AI Workforce Summit @ Google takes Wednesday from 17:00, free.

Organiser spotlight: Mindstone
Mindstone London September AI Meetup runs Tuesday 15 September, 18:00, at Inspire St James in Clerkenwell, free, and it is one of only two featured events on our London pages this week.
This month's talk is Shiva Iyallasomayajula of Groop on "What Happens When You Make Kindness a Technical Constraint" — confirmed to us by the organisers twice in the past week, which is more diligence than most series manage. Mindstone earns the spotlight for consistency rather than scale: it runs monthly AI evenings in nine of the cities we cover, same format, same care about who gets the microphone. On a Tuesday where two rooms have already closed, a meetup that reliably opens its doors is worth knowing about.
Who should go where
Builders. Saturday, and choose by problem type: clinical AI at the Anima hackathon, community infrastructure at Newspeak House. Midweek is talk-shaped until Thursday, when the AWS meetup and the DeepMind builder evening are both genuinely technical.
Founders. Wednesday's Cherry Ventures breakfast if you are past product-market fit and stuck on go-to-market; Tuesday at Mindstone for the wider room. And apply for the Trust Stack today — 22 places with a waitlist behind them will not survive the weekend.
Investors. Thinner than the last two weeks for structured dealflow. CodeYourFuture's demo day is a talent read rather than a deal read, and worth the afternoon for that.
Sales and marketing. Wednesday, twice: the GTM breakfast at 08:30 and the AI Workforce Summit from 17:00. Skip the general mixers — the specific rooms are too good to spend an evening in one with no subject.
Across the network
Edinburgh has two events this week, the thinnest board we have ever published for the city — and one good Tuesday hiding in it if you happen to be north. Further out, SaaStock Dublin runs 6–8 October, the one conference this autumn that London founders reliably travel for.
