London tech events this week: the argument moved to health

London tech events 6-12 Nov: four health rooms, seven events on Tuesday, a free Sunday build day at Attio, and a corrected Saturday start time.

London tech events this week: the argument moved to health

Five London rooms spent last week arguing about who owns Britain's AI stack. This week not one of them does. Twenty-four tech events sit on the London city page between this morning and Thursday night, thirteen free, and the thread is health - four rooms, from a BCS day this morning to King's on Thursday. Tuesday takes seven on its own. In a week of networking events in London this size, the question is not what to attend but what to give up.

Last week, briefly

Sovereign AI Summit filled The Oval on Monday; Barclays Demo Day ran university spinouts across three stages on Tuesday. Wednesday's Conversations by IF: AI triage at Newspeak House had a waiting list by the day - doors 18:00 for an 18:30 start, with Imogen Levy, Lingjing Yin and Pete Kowalczyk. The studio writes itself IF; the capitalisation has flipped twice, ours included. The policy register has gone quiet. The clinical one has the floor.

Health is this week's spine

AI for Health 2026 - Fri 6 Nov, 09:30, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, £42. A day on Copthall Avenue treating human health, animal health and the shared environment as one system rather than three problems. The cheapest serious health day of the week.

UK-Vietnam Healthcare Innovation & Investment Summit - Sat 7 Nov, 12:00, UCL Main Campus, free. Clinicians, researchers and investors on UK-Vietnam collaboration in cancer care. Narrow by design.

ABHI UK HealthTech Conference 2026 - Mon 9 Nov, 09:00, Cavendish Conference Centre, £358.80, two days. Day one is MHRA-heavy with Lawrence Tallon keynoting: regulation and market access, not product. Buy it if your next eighteen months hang on an approval route; skip it if you are still building.

King's AI Summit: Agents of Science - Thu 12 Nov, 09:00, London Institute for Healthcare Engineering, free. What AI agents are doing to research itself: literature review, hypothesis generation, experimental design, lab workflows. The most technical of the four, and free.

Money shows up on Thursday

The Funding Formula 2026 - Tue 10 Nov, 09:30, Glaziers Hall, paid. Ukie's second annual funding day for UK games companies, three tracks, and no published price figure.

CyberSecurity Live - Wed 11 Nov, 08:30 to 17:00, Hilton London Tower Bridge, free. FStech's day for senior security, risk and technology people in financial services. Free at that seniority is unusual, and it is the week's best-value conference.

FinTech Breakfast Club 2026 - Thu 12 Nov, 08:30, Barclays Innovation Hub, free. Run with Innovate Finance in Shoreditch: founders, investors and people inside the incumbents, over breakfast. The best free hour of the week if you sell into banks.

What you can actually build

house london! | data hackathon - Sat 7 Nov, 10:00, Newspeak House, free. Jam Coombes' one-day sprint on London housing, on a premise worth arguing with: the data needed to understand the crisis already exists. Bring a laptop and a view.

Satellite Futures Summit 2026 - Tue 10 Nov, 13:30 to 17:30, techUK, free. techUK launches its Satellite Data for Sustainable Growth report, Matthew Evans on the bill, reception to close. The strongest free afternoon in Tuesday's seven.

Agentic AI Meet-Up #13 - Wed 11 Nov, 18:00, Deliveroo's London office, free. In The Loop's thirteenth monthly, with Dima Zborovskiy, ML Director at Deliveroo/DoorDash. Operators on stage rather than a product tour.

Venue corner: Newspeak House

One address carried three of last week's rooms - Campaign Lab's hack night, Conversations by IF, the social media ban panel - and carries two of this week's. Saturday is the housing hackathon above; Monday is ATProto London at 19:00, free, for people building on the Authenticated Transfer Protocol, the standard underneath Bluesky. Five rooms in one building in a fortnight. In a city this size, picking a building beats picking a topic.

Who should go where

Sales and marketing, yours is the expensive call. The MarTech Summit London 2026 runs two days from Tue 10 Nov, 08:30, Convene 155 Bishopsgate, £493.65. The organisers put 85% of around 600 attendees at director level or above, and that concentration is the only reason to pay it. If those are not your buyers, Thursday's FinTech Breakfast Club is free, and SF Ben Con '26 at Protein Studios is the independent Salesforce-ecosystem room, not a Salesforce-run one.

Founders, two practical hours beat four panels. The NEDonBoard session - Tue 10 Nov, 14:00, 94 Moorgate, free - puts the London NatWest Accelerator with the professional body for non-executive directors, on how a board gets built. Women Founding Differently - Fri 6 Nov, 10:00, Patch Twickenham, £11.55 - is four founders on what the first steps cost. Skip the general mixers this week.

Investors, it is a two-room week. The Funding Formula on Tuesday if you write cheques into games, the FinTech Breakfast Club on Thursday if you do not.

Builders, Saturday and Wednesday. The housing hackathon, then Agentic AI at Deliveroo; on Tuesday evening London Generative AI Builders Night at The Marquis Cornwallis is free, with a live demo. Design leads have Leading Design London at the Barbican from Wed 11 Nov - two days, paid, for people who run teams.

The Big One: a free Sunday at Attio

Attio x Point Nine Builders Café | London - Sun 8 Nov, 10:00, Attio's London office, free, drop-in.

Attio and Point Nine open Attio's HQ for a build day: technical founders, engineers and early-stage operators on their own AI projects, with Attio's team around. Featured on our page, and the only room this week that costs you nothing you were otherwise going to use - no evening surrendered, no day of leave, no £400 ticket. Drop-in, so no approval gate and no allocation to miss. A seed fund's team in a building on a Sunday is also the least performative investor access this city offers: nobody is pitching, which is why the conversations go somewhere. One spare slot and a half-built AI project - spend it here.

Worth knowing

Correction: Saturday's Eligent Club session starts at 13:00, not 16:00. Our listing for How to build a tech start-up in 2026 shows 16:00 to 20:00. The real window is 13:00 to 18:00 at Westminster Business School - five hours, as the listing's own description has always said. The row is still wrong as this goes out. Go by 13:00.

Four of this week's paid events publish no price. The Funding Formula, Leading Design London, SF Ben Con '26 and 11:FS After Dark read "paid" with no figure, because no verifiable organiser figure exists. Open the checkout before you commit the day.

Thursday's After Dark is a recording, not a mixer. 11:FS tape Fintech Insider News live at Village Underground from 18:00, paid, David M. Brear fronting it. You are audience on a tape, which changes when you get to talk to anyone.

One more thing

Twenty-four rooms, thirteen free, one Sunday worth clearing. The full week sits on the London page. Running something we have missed? Send it over - we list far more than we write about. The newsletter carries the picks on Friday mornings.
