Milan tech events this week: one Wednesday carries five of them (23-29 October 2026)
Milan tech events 23-29 Oct: four doors open before 10:00 on Wednesday, Codemotion runs two days, and Saturday's Zig Day is sold out whatever our page says.
Wednesday 28 October carries this week. Four of the twelve tech events in Milan on our page open their doors before 10:00 that morning — a developer conference, a private capital summit, an adtech conference and a cybersecurity convegno — and an AI demo night closes the same day at 18:30. Twelve events for 23-29 October, against the five we could see this time last Friday. We opened Milan a few weeks ago and the page is filling in from the community tier upward, so treat this as a curated week rather than a census.
Three things our Milan page gets wrong this week
Assolombarda's cybersecurity conference says 10:00. It starts at 09:00. The Architecture of Resilience: Governance and Product is Assolombarda's twelfth annual cybersecurity convegno, on where the NIS2 directive and the Cyber Resilience Act collide. The organiser's programme runs 09:00 to 16:00 with a welcome at 09:30. Our row has said 10:00 since September, the time field has no write path, and it will keep saying 10:00 until the row is rebuilt. Go by Assolombarda.
Zig Day Milano on Saturday is sold out. The waitlist is open; the ticket page isn't. Our listing shows it as bookable because the availability field doesn't save — a defect that hits all twelve cities we publish, so a sold-out room looks open everywhere on the site. Zig User Group Italia runs it 09:30 to 17:30 at the Sala Vetrata Bassini, five minutes from M2 Piola, with Show & Tell from 16:30. Join the waitlist rather than turning up.
Codemotion is two days. 28 and 29 October. Our row carries the first date and no end date, so the listing reads like a one-day conference.
One more, on money. Nine of this week's twelve carry no ticket price at all, and our intake stores an empty price as "free" — so a Milan listing marked free can mean the organiser published nothing. Where a figure exists we quote it. Where it doesn't, check the registration page before you assume the door is open.
The week ahead, sorted by how big the room is
Rooms for several hundred. Codemotion Conference Milan 2026 — Wed 28 and Thu 29, from 08:00, Superstudio Più on Via Tortona, 199 euro. Italy's largest developer conference, with tracks on AI, cloud architecture and software infrastructure.

0100 International 2026 — Wed 28, 08:30, Palazzo Castiglioni, 1,400 euro. The fourth edition of 0100's private capital conference, run with the City of Milan and Milano & Partners, around 700 private equity and VC people in the room. The price is the filter. Intersections 2026 — The Power of Influence — Wed 28, 09:30, Allianz MiCo, 199 euro, two days from IAB Italia on what AI did to the relationship between creativity, media and marketing. Focus Live 2026 — Intelligenze opens the week instead: Fri 23, 09:30, inside the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, ninth edition of Focus magazine's festival.
Rooms for a hundred. Linux Day Milano 2026 — Sat 24, 09:00, Politecnico Campus Leonardo, Edificio 13 "Trifoglio", run by ILS Milano (POuL and unixMiB). Italy's national free-software day has run since 2001 and this is its Milan edition.

Assolombarda's NIS2/CRA convegno sits here too, at the real 09:00 start. Seeing the Humans — Fri 23, 12:15, Politecnico Bovisa BL26 — is a POLIMI School of Management seminar arguing people and communities back into operations research.
Rooms for twenty. LLM FinOps — Mon 26, 18:15, Mia Platform Italia. Giulio Roggero, co-founder and CTO of Mia-Platform, on where the LLM budget actually goes and which metrics survive production. Open Coding Night — Mon 26, 19:00, WAO Isola, TDD Milano's fortnightly bring-your-own-idea evening. AI Tinkerers Milan October Demo Night — Wed 28, 18:30, five-minute live demos of real stacks and agentic workflows; no venue on our listing, so get it from the organiser. Agentic Vision Night Milano — Thu 29, 19:00, Tripstillery Portanuova, where Viso.ai's CEO and Head of Solutions open and then you build.
Who should go where
Builders, your week is the good one. Saturday splits between Linux Day at the Politecnico and Zig Day's waitlist, and if you want one evening only, take LLM FinOps on Monday — cost control on models in production is the problem nobody runs a meetup about. Thursday's Agentic Vision Night sends you home with something that runs.
Founders. Skip the big Wednesday rooms unless you already have a reason to be in one. The useful hour is the Wednesday demo night at AI Tinkerers, where the people building are the people talking.
Investors. Wednesday is 0100 International or nothing, and 1,400 euro says this is an LP and GP room, not a dealflow room. If your week is blocked, Rome has the Outpost dual-use defence summit at the Museo dell'Ara Pacis on Monday afternoon, free to register, with NATO DIANA's vice president speaking.
Marketing and sales. Intersections is the only room in Milan this week where your buyers are the audience rather than the sponsors. Two days at Allianz MiCo, sessions in Italian and English.
One room above the others
Codemotion. Not the biggest ticket — 0100 International costs seven times as much — but the week's centre of gravity for everyone who writes software here. Two days at Superstudio Più, 28 and 29 October, 199 euro, tracks split across AI, cloud architecture and software infrastructure. It also says something about this calendar: the city's biggest developer conference and its biggest private capital conference took the same Wednesday morning, both in the Tortona district, and neither blinked.
By the numbers
Twelve events, 23-29 October. Nine carry no price; three are priced, at 199, 199 and 1,400 euro. Wednesday 28 holds five of the twelve, four of them before 10:00. Saturday holds two, Sunday holds none, and one of Saturday's two is already full.
Last week, briefly
CES Unveiled Milan landed at Allianz MiCo on Wednesday morning with Gary Shapiro and Kinsey Fabrizio of the CTA, Milan's mayor Giuseppe Sala, AMD's Keith Strier and ITA president Matteo Zoppas, plus a pitch competition whose winner takes a Eureka Park stand at CES 2027. None of our assigned Milan sources surfaced it — we found it in a Milano Finanza report and checked it against ces.tech. Which is the week's lesson for this page: the institutional Milan calendar does not announce itself where meetup software can see it.
Before you go
The Friday email carries these corrections before you book anything. And if you run something in Milan that isn't on the city page — a user group, an internal evening that takes outsiders, a demo night — send it over. Early readers decide what this page covers next.
