Milan tech events this week: Thursday does most of the work (6-12 November 2026)
Eight Milan tech events, 6-12 Nov: five land on Thursday and three start at 19:30.
Milan tech events this week: Thursday does most of the work
Last Thursday Superstudio Village expected more than 6,000 people for two days of Starting Finance. This Thursday Milan asks you to be in three places at 19:30. Eight tech events sit on our Milan page between Friday 6 and Thursday 12 November, across three days: one Monday evening, two on Wednesday, five on Thursday. Nothing Friday, nothing at the weekend, nothing Tuesday. The networking events in Milan this week are the research-and-meetup kind rather than the mixer kind - Milan being Milan at a quarter of last week's volume.
Eight is a curated eight, not a city's whole week: this page is one of our newest and we are still learning where Milan hides things.
The week, day by day
Monday 9 November
Open Coding Night - 20:00, WAO Isola, free. TDD Milano runs this fortnightly: bring your own idea and actually work on it next to other people doing the same. Deliberately open, not limited to test-driven work, and the lowest-commitment thing on the page.
Wednesday 11 November
AI, Cities, and Democracy - 10:30, IULM Università, paid. SEPAI on the ethical, political, social and cultural consequences of artificial intelligence in contemporary societies. The week's only paid event, and it publishes no figure - ask before you clear a day.
A Conversation with Luca Foresti, Chief Executive Officer Niulinx - 20:00, Arca Fondi SGR, free. The HBS Club of Italy hosts the founder and CEO of Niulinx. A fund's offices, a deep-tech founder, an evening format: the most Milan hour of the week, and the hidden gem below.
Thursday 12 November
Five rooms: two mornings, three evenings, and all three evenings start at 19:30.
Contract Logistics "Gino Marchet" Observatory Annual Conference - 09:30, Superstudio Maxi, free. Featured. The Politecnico's Contract Logistics Observatory publishes its annual research on AI, outsourcing models and service innovation in logistics: a year of survey work handed over in a morning.
Circular Economy in Action: How a Bioeconomy Gets Built - 10:30, Innovhub SSI, free. The Lombardy Green Chemistry Association on how a bioeconomy supply chain actually gets built, from recovered resources to finished products by way of green chemistry and industrial biotechnology.
Italian C++ Meetup Milan - November 2026 - 19:30, Randstad Box, free. One session: Jan Wilczek on "(Im)Perfect Forwarding: A Practical Guide to Value Categories in C++".
From Curiosity to Capability: Build Your Own Device Swarm - 19:30, Randstad Box, free. Rust Language Milan, hands-on with Myrmic: an open-source distributed runtime written in Rust, powered by WebAssembly, running applications across mixed devices.
The Artificial Intelligence Bubble - 19:30, Politecnico di Milano, Aula Conferenze, free. The headline, below.
The big one: The Artificial Intelligence Bubble
Thursday 12 November, 19:30, Aula Conferenze at the Politecnico di Milano. Free, and featured on our page.
Associazione Copernicani put a panel together on whether the current AI moment is a bubble, with the stated aim of getting past media and financial hype. It takes the headline for a reason that has nothing to do with size: it is the only room in Milan this week that argues with the premise of the other seven. The Osservatori research morning and the bioeconomy half-day take the technology as given and ask what to do with it. This one asks whether the money is right - in the city that prices Italian risk, free, in a lecture hall.

Go if you have an AI line in next year's budget, or you are raising against an AI thesis and need the counter-argument from people who are not posting it. Skip it if you want to touch tooling: Randstad Box is the better 19:30.
Who should go where
Founders. Wednesday night, the Foresti evening below. If you are raising, that hour in an asset manager's offices beats any of Thursday's conferences.
Builders. Thursday at 19:30, and you get exactly one: C++ value categories with Jan Wilczek, or a Rust-and-WebAssembly runtime you can put on your own devices. Monday's Open Coding Night if you would rather ship than listen.
Investors. Thin week, so one call: the AI Bubble panel on Thursday, and it is free. There is no demo day and no pitch night on the Milan page between now and next Friday.
Sales and marketing. Two research half-days Thursday morning, contract logistics then bioeconomy, and in both your buyers are the audience rather than the sponsors. Skip the evenings - engineers.
Hidden gem: Wednesday, 20:00, Arca Fondi SGR
Niulinx is the Politecnico di Milano spin-off building a Level 4 autonomous driving platform designed around European regulation rather than against it, and Luca Foresti founded it. The HBS Club of Italy does not publish into Milan's usual feeds, so an evening like this normally reaches alumni and nobody else.

Venue corner: Randstad Box
One building, two meetups, same Thursday, same 19:30 - the Italian C++ Community and Rust Language Milan. Our rows carry the same venue and the same minute for both, so it is either a shared evening or a corridor you will be walking. Do not plan on half of each.
Worth knowing
- Registration is separate on all three of Thursday's 19:30 rooms. Decide before Thursday.
- Seven of the eight read free with no amount, and the eighth reads paid with no amount. A missing price records as free in our data, so "free" means "no price published" rather than "walk in". Register for the seven, and ask SEPAI what the IULM day costs.
- Nothing sits on the Milan page from Friday morning to Monday evening. That is the scene, not our search: our last sourcing run screened a couple of hundred listings across Meetup, Eventbrite and the Italian calendars and found one net-new tech event in the whole city. Run something on a Milan weekend and you have the field to yourself.
Before you go
Eight events, three days, one Thursday carrying five of them. The next morning is better already: Founders Cove opens at Superstudio Village on Friday 13 November, and the week after brings the Lombardia Digital Summit at Palazzo Lombardia and the Startup Marathon final ten at the UniCredit Tower Hall.
Full Milan calendar here. Milan's weekends are still empty on our page. If you run a user group, a demo night or an internal evening that takes outsiders, send it over - it goes on next week's list.
