Paris tech events this week: nine rooms and an empty weekend (23-29 October 2026)
Paris tech events 23-29 Oct: OpenAI's DevDay Exchange lands Wednesday, with a community hackathon two days ahead.
Nine events on our Paris page between Friday and next Thursday, and not one falls on a Saturday or a Sunday. The week has folded itself into Tuesday and Wednesday. OpenAI is why.
Paris is one of the newest cities we cover, so nine is what we can argue for rather than everything happening here. Nine rooms with a reason attached beats a list we have not read. If you run tech events in Paris and we missed yours, the submit link is at the bottom.
Friday, then nothing until Monday
Fri 23 Oct, 13:30 — 16th CEFCYS Colloquium — Cybermois 2026, the Verrière at Le Village by CA, rue La Boétie. Free. CEFCYS holds its sixteenth colloquium as part of Cybermois 2026, the European cybersecurity awareness month, with Nacira Salvan on the programme. In French. The only thing on the page before Monday: easy yes if security is your field, easy skip if it is not.

Then two quiet days, and the clocks go back on Sunday 25 October.
Monday and Tuesday
Mon 26 Oct, 18:00 — DevDay Exchange Community: Paris. Free, address on registration. A community hackathon and demo night run ahead of OpenAI's official DevDay Exchange, hosted by the Paris startup studio Hexa with Codex ambassadors. Build, then demo. If you want hands on the API rather than a keynote about it, this is the better of the two DevDay evenings.
Tue 27 Oct, 12:30 — New Risks: Is France Still Insurable?, Collège des Bernardins. EUR 32. A lunch debate from 4ème Révolution on whether climate change, granular data and AI-driven pricing are dismantling the risk pooling insurance rests on. In French. An unusual room for an actuarial argument.
Tue 27 Oct, 18:30 — Reliable AI at Scale: Lessons from Dataiku and Mistral AI, Dataiku's Paris office. Free. Two talks on what breaks when LLM agents reach production. Maxime Appé, Technical Product Manager, and Thierry Gengler, Engineering Manager, open, then Mistral AI. Read the time twice: the organiser says 18:30, our listing says 19:30, and the organiser is right.
Tue 27 Oct, 18:30 — AI Day-to-Day at Pennylane, Le Wagon Paris. Free. Pennylane's engineering, data and product teams on what AI does in their actual week: what they adopted, what they dropped. Same hour as Dataiku, so you are choosing between a vendor's production war stories and a scaleup's.
The big one: OpenAI brings DevDay to Paris
Wed 28 Oct, 14:00 — OpenAI DevDay Exchange - Paris. Free, venue on registration. OpenAI is taking DevDay to eight cities this autumn. Paris is the fifth stop, after Bengaluru, Tokyo, Seoul and Berlin, with London, São Paulo and Mexico City to follow. It is the densest concentration of people building on frontier models that Paris will see this month, it is free, and it is approval-gated — these close when they fill, not when the date arrives.

Wed 28 Oct, 19:00 — AI Builders Night #4: Automating Boring Tasks, Villa Gypsy. Free. Hold My Club's fourth builders night, on automating the work nobody wants: reports, follow-ups, copy-pasting between tools, and how to spot which of those is worth an agent.
Thursday closes it
Thu 29 Oct, 18:30 — Trench Tech All Star 26, Cap Digital. Free. A live public recording of the annual all-star episode of Trench Tech, the French tech-criticism podcast hosted by Cyrille Chaudoit and Mick Lévy, on AI and disinformation on the road to 2027. In French. If you work in French AI and have never sat in a room where the critics set the agenda, take this one.
Thu 29 Oct, 19:00 — Founders Mesh, FCC – Flâneur Coffee Club, 1st. Paid. An invitation-reviewed evening for founders alongside a selected circle of investors who are actively deploying. Paid by design, and nobody has published a figure, so we are not quoting one. Also starts 19:00, an hour before our listing shows.
Theme of the week: the fringe arrives before the main event
The usual shape is a corporate stop with satellites trailing behind it. Paris inverts it: the community hackathon runs Monday, OpenAI's own session Wednesday. And three production talks in forty-eight hours, from Dataiku, Mistral and Pennylane, say where French attention has moved — off what models can do, onto what breaks when you ship them.
Who should go where
Builders, this is your week. Monday's hackathon and Wednesday's builders night are the two where you write something. One evening only? Tuesday at Dataiku.
Founders. Thursday is a choice between a recording studio and a room of investors. Founders Mesh has the dealflow purpose and the invitation review is real, so apply early rather than on the day.
Investors. Quiet week. Founders Mesh is the only room built around you. The Bernardins lunch on Tuesday is the one place you will hear climate risk priced out loud.
Sales and marketing. Skip the build nights. Tuesday's lunch is where French insurance and fintech decision-makers will be sitting.
Last week, briefly
Thursday morning was the story: three breakfast events, all three full. BSides ICS/OT Paris ran its first French edition at 08:30 for EUR 11.85, the Accel AI Innovate hackathon kicked off at 08:00, and Plug and Play France's longevity morning opened at 09:00, address on registration only. Paper Club #7 put Gaël Varoquaux of Probabl in front of Parisanté Campus on tabular foundation models. This week the same crowd is back, spread across two Tuesday offices.
Worth knowing
Two start times on this page are an hour late. Reliable AI at Scale starts 18:30; Founders Mesh starts 19:00. Where the organiser and our listing disagree, the organiser wins.
Clocks go back on Sunday 25 October. Everything from Monday runs on CET. If you made calendar entries before the weekend, check they landed on the right hour.
Two picks have no venue, and that is correct. OpenAI's DevDay Exchange and Monday's community edition are approval-gated; the address arrives with your confirmation. Eight events on our Paris page work this way.
We kept the Grok Bot Paris Meetup off the city page on 22 October — no venue published, speaker line-up still unconfirmed the day before.
Past Thursday: Databricks and OpenAI run the sixth AI Builders Meetup at STATION F on 19 November, free — off Station F's own calendar, carried by no aggregator. Impact Entrepreneurs on 5 November is sold out on Eventbrite while our page still shows it bookable.
Across the network
Barcelona is the one to watch if you work in privacy or open source. Mozilla Festival has moved to the Fabra i Coats complex in Sant Andreu, with a Mozilla staff meetup and a Web3Privacy Now fringe night the evening before it opens.

Nine rooms is what we could stand behind this week. Full list at anopenroom.com/paris. If you organise here, submit your event and we will read it properly.
