Paris tech events this week: sovereignty gets a calendar (30 Oct - 5 Nov 2026)

Paris tech events, 30 Oct-5 Nov: the State of AI 2026 launch, two Euronaval defence nights, three Station F rooms and two start times we corrected.

Paris tech events this week: sovereignty gets a calendar

Twenty-three tech events sit on the Paris page for 30 October to 5 November, and four of them are the same argument: who gets to build Europe's defence and AI infrastructure. A Euronaval side event, a Ukrainian state defence cluster pitching here, the annual State of AI report launching in Paris, and a founders' dinner co-hosted with the Defense & Space Association. Web Summit pulls a slice of Europe to Lisbon from Monday. Tuesday in Paris runs six rooms anyway.

The Big One: State of AI 2026 lands in Paris

Air Street Capital brings the Paris launch of the 2026 State of AI Report here on Tuesday 3 November, 19:00, with Nathan Benaich presenting. The report is the annual survey of AI research, industry, safety and politics, and it sets the vocabulary a lot of European investors will use for the next twelve months. Reading it takes an evening. Hearing the author take questions from a Paris room, in the week this city is arguing about defence sovereignty, is a different proposition.

Free to register. Our row carries no venue, so the address comes with your confirmation. Full listing.

The week in four threads

Who owns the stack

AI, Defense and Sovereignty: the French and Ukrainian Experience — Wed 4 Nov, 19:30, La Cristallerie, free to register. A Euronaval side event on whether Europe can build its own AI for defence, traced from the battlefield back through the supply chain. Hexa opens, then two panels.

Brave1 Invest Demo Day Paris — Tue 3 Nov, 19:00, KOLO community space, free to register. Ukraine's government-backed defence technology cluster brings a cohort over for European Defence Week 2026.

EuroTech Founders & Friends Dinner #2 x DSA — Thu 5 Nov, 21:00, €35. One long table for European deep tech, run with the Defense & Space Association. Venue arrives with the booking.

Agents, in production, with the bruises

Agentic Analytics Meetup Paris — Shark Tank Edition — Wed 4 Nov, 19:30, Qare, free to register. Six data teams pitch the analytics agent they actually built, five minutes each, then a panel pulls it apart on reliability, adoption, governance and cost.

Criteo x NVIDIA AI Meetup: LLM-Powered Recommendations at Scale — Wed 4 Nov, 19:00, free to register, venue on registration. Criteo's Zakaria Ouzarf and Marius Alonso on moving LLM recommendations from prototype to production.

Staff42 @ Padoa: Dev Environments — Tue 3 Nov, Padoa, Avenue de Wagram in the 17th, free to register. Doors 18:30, not the 19:30 on our row.

Capital, and who it's actually for

FIA Demo Day: First Cohort of Entreprendre dans l'IA — Mon 2 Nov, 19:30, Le Comptoir Avalon, free to register. The first cohort of FIA's accelerator for women founders in AI closes out and pitches.

AI & Digital Transformation Club: Who Captures the Value of Consulting in the AI Era? — Tue 3 Nov, 09:30, Wavestone, Tour Franklin, La Défense, paid, no figure on the row. An INSEAD Alumni breakfast on what happens to consulting when the client has your models.

Round Table — Health Invest & Growth 2027 — Wed 4 Nov, 13:00, BioLabs Paris, free to register. Three panels on where biotech, techbio, medtech and healthtech money goes in 2027, then lunch and a site tour.

Deep Tech Scale-up Objective — Workshop 2 — Tue 3 Nov, Village by CA-Paris in the 8th, free to register, capped at twenty. Second of three mornings in Systematic's Club Scale-up Deep Tech. Runs 09:00 to 14:00.

Everything else worth an evening

Swift Connection X — Mon 2 Nov, 10:00, Théâtre de Paris, €499, two days. Tenth edition of the French iOS and Apple-platform conference; formerly FrenchKit.

GreenTech Forum 2026 — Thu 5 Nov, 10:00, Station F, free to register. Two days on making digital infrastructure and AI less costly environmentally and socially.

Scaling AI Startups: the GTM Playbook with Lovable and ElevenLabs — Tue 3 Nov, 18:00, Station F, free to register. AWS and HubSpot for Startups on winning the first customers.

Horror Demo Night — Generathon #3 x Paris Creator Week — Sun 1 Nov, 17:00, La Cristallerie, free to register. Closing night of a 24-hour AI content hackathon.

Also listed: Women of the African Diaspora in Tech (Mon, SKEMA Paris – Salle Agora), Dîner Machine #6: Pause (AI Safety) (Mon, Veggie Lovers, bilingual) and Masterclass #3: The Legal Essentials for Protecting Your Startup (Thu, Cegid Innovation Hub inside Station F).

Who should go where

Founders. One evening, spend it Tuesday: the Station F GTM panel at 18:00, then State of AI at 19:00. If you're raising in health, Wednesday's BioLabs round table beats any mixer this week.

Investors. Monday and Tuesday. FIA's demo day is a first cohort, which is where mispricing lives. Brave1 is a defence cohort you won't see anywhere else in Europe this month. The Thursday afterworks aren't your dealflow.

Builders. Wednesday. Qare's Shark Tank and the Criteo/NVIDIA session answer the same question — what breaks when agents meet production traffic — from two directions. Pick one and go deep rather than hopping.

Sales and marketing. Thin week. The GetMint x Alpic breakfast on Thursday at Morning Cléry is the one with buyers in it: banking and insurance people working out what happens when customers ask a chatbot which mortgage to take.

Organiser spotlight: FIA — Femmes dans l'IA

FIA shows up twice inside a fortnight, which is rare on our pages. Its eighth afterwork ran last Tuesday at La Felicità inside Station F with no programme at all, deliberately. Monday it closes the first Entreprendre dans l'IA cohort with a demo day.

FAQ

Is "free" on these listings really free?

Mostly, and we say "free to register" for a reason. Our price field defaults to free when an organiser publishes nothing, so a handful of this week's free badges are unearned rather than wrong. Two rows go the other way and read paid with no figure, the INSEAD breakfast among them.

Can I just turn up?

Not at four rooms this week. State of AI, the Criteo/NVIDIA meetup, the Digital Product Passport afterwork and the EuroTech dinner carry no venue on our row — the address arrives with your confirmation.

Worth knowing

  • Two rooms open earlier than our listing says. Staff42 at Padoa shows 19:30; the organiser's programme is 18:30 to 21:30. The Systematic workshop shows 10:00; it runs 09:00 to 14:00. Go by the earlier time.
  • La Cristallerie twice in five days — Sunday's hackathon demo night, Wednesday's defence panel. Different organisers, same room.
  • Across the network: London hosts the Sovereign AI Summit on 2 November, six speakers now named, ticket sales closing 30 October. If this week's Paris thread is your subject, that's the one worth the Eurostar.

The shape of this week is a Tuesday nobody can do properly in one evening. Browse the full Paris listings and choose before Monday. Running something we missed? Send it over — the French calendar is the one our readers correct most often.
