Paris tech events this week: six free evenings, and four of them are on Thursday (4–10 September 2026)

Six tech events in Paris between 4 and 10 September. All six free. And four of them stacked onto Thursday the 10th, starting between 18:15 and 19:30 — which makes that night a choice rather than a plan. The rentrée has stopped warming up: last week our Paris listings held two events, this week they hold three times that.

The big one: AI Builders comes back from the summer

The AI Builders Meetup #7 — Monday 7 September, 19:00–21:00, Le Bar de L'Empire Hotel. Free. Runs in French.

AI FIRST's series returns for its seventh edition, its first since the break, and it is the highest-signal room on our Paris page this week. The premise is refreshingly unfashionable: AI, no-code, automation, prototypes and agents, in a crowd that deliberately mixes entrepreneurs, freelancers and creatives with engineers. Most AI meetups here sort themselves by job title within ten minutes; this one is built to stop that, and the stated goal is to build together rather than hear a panel. A Monday 19:00 start helps too — it is the one evening nobody has already booked.

The week ahead, day by day

Monday 7 September, 19:00–21:00 — AI Builders #7 (above), Le Bar de L'Empire Hotel. Free, in French.

Tuesday 8 September, 19:00–22:00 — 4th Paris Hardware Meetup | Hardware Built for Space. Free. Venue confirmed on registration.

The most distinctive evening of the week, and the only one on our page flagged deep tech and investors at once. Launch systems, satellites, propulsion — and now data centres in orbit — with the meetup's own argument being that a serious share of that work happens in Europe rather than being watched from it. Paris has the space-industrial base to make that stick. If you build atoms rather than software, this is your one obvious room.

Thursday 10 September is the pile-up. Four events, three hours of overlap, and you can honestly attend one:

• 18:15–20:15 — Senior Product in 2027: What Will Be Expected? at Pennylane, the all-in-one financial management unicorn for SMEs, on Rue Jules Lefebvre in the 9th. Free, in French. The second Product Builder Night, co-organised with Le Ticket, and pointed squarely at senior product people wondering what the job even is in two years.
• 18:45–20:45 — Tech.Rocks Meetup · Tech Leader & AI Champion Duet. Free, in French, venue on registration. A tech leader and an AI champion give an unfiltered account of moving from experimentation to deployment: what worked, what failed, what it cost. The rarest talk format there is — the one with the failures left in.
• 19:00–21:30 — Design Systems & Artificial Intelligence: Building Your Own MCP at Thiga. Free, in French. Wiring the Model Context Protocol into a design system so agents work from one current source of truth instead of guessing, with Carrefour's in-house MCP as the worked example. This is the deepest technical content of the week and the least advertised.
• 19:30–22:30 — AI Marketing Night #9 at Dust HQ Paris, address on registration. Free. Ninth edition, hosted in Dust's new offices, and explicitly promising practical campaign work over futurism.

Last week, briefly

The OpenAI AI Privacy Hackathon ran at STATION F yesterday, 3 September — a free full day on the seam between applied AI and privacy, and the biggest thing on our Paris page since we opened the city. What it means for this week: the rentrée is past its opening statement. Five of this week's six events are AI-shaped and none is an introduction to the topic. Paris has skipped to the operational questions.

Venue corner: the scene runs out of offices

Look at Thursday's four venues. Pennylane. Thiga. Dust. Three of the four evenings happen inside company offices — a unicorn, a product consultancy and an AI startup opening their own floors on a weeknight. The Paris meetup circuit is underwritten by scale-ups doing employer branding, not by bars taking a tab. Better rooms, working Wi-Fi, a hard stop — and register properly, because building reception will not know who you are.

Who should go where

Builders — Thursday at Thiga: MCP plumbed into a design system is a genuinely new problem, and Carrefour's case means a real implementation rather than a diagram. Founders — Monday. AI Builders #7 has the widest mix of people and the lowest barrier to saying what you are working on. Investors — Tuesday, and only Tuesday. The hardware meetup is the one deep-tech room in the window; the Thursday four are practitioner evenings, not dealflow. Product and design — Pennylane on Thursday, knowing it is a career conversation as much as a craft one. Sales and marketing — AI Marketing Night #9 at Dust: the only event this week aimed at you, and late enough to arrive from a full day.

Worth knowing

• Four of the six run in French. AI Builders #7, Senior Product in 2027, the Tech.Rocks meetup and the Thiga MCP evening are all French-language. The hardware meetup and AI Marketing Night are the English-friendly options.
• Three events release the address only on registration — the hardware meetup, Tech.Rocks, and AI Marketing Night at Dust. Sign up in advance or you will not have a door to walk through.
• Thursday is not a crawl. 18:15, 18:45, 19:00 and 19:30 across four different venues is a choice, not a circuit. Pick one and stay.
