Paris tech events this week: the week we promised you (9-15 October 2026)

Paris tech events 9-15 Oct: 31 on the page, 28 free, 11 on Thursday alone.

A fortnight ago the week of 12 October was a blank space on our Paris page, and we said so in print. The only two things we could name back then were ai-PULSE at STATION F and the MIT Paris Symposium. That week is now this week, and it carries 31 events: 28 free, 11 of them on Thursday alone.

Six run in English and 25 in French. In Paris that is a more useful dividing line than price or neighbourhood, and it is the question readers send us most often, so it is how the networking events in Paris this week are sorted below.

The six rooms that run in English

Tue 13 Oct, 08:00 - ai-PULSE 2026 by Scaleway, STATION F, free. The biggest thing on the page, and we come back to it at the end.

Thu 15 Oct, 08:30 - MIT Paris Symposium, Auditorium Bouygues, free. Bouygues' innovation directorate brings MIT research to a French corporate audience, across AI and beyond. Second-highest score on our Paris page this week.

Mon 12 Oct, 18:00 - Startup Networking Workshop #38 and Tue 13 Oct, 18:00 - #37, STATION F, both free. FlexUp runs two editions in three days: short presentations, then open networking, deliberately small.

Also in English, both free: HUSTLE's entrepreneur evening at Pub Saint-Michel, Tue at 17:00, and English Business Networking Paris on Wed at 09:30 at La Felicità, on the STATION F campus.

Tuesday morning belongs to the institutions

Tue 13 Oct, 09:00 - Cyber in Space #2, ECE Paris, free. A full day at ECE in the 15th from Systematic Paris-Region's Cyber and Security Hub on the cybersecurity of space infrastructure, with ESA and the governance side taking the morning. It scores higher than anything else on our Paris page this week, and it is the clearest signal yet that the French space-and-defence conversation has moved from policy panels to engineering rooms.

Tue 13 Oct, 08:15 - Cercle des Administrateurs briefing with Yann Lechelle, Cercle de l'Union Interalliée, free. A board-level breakfast with one of the more direct voices in French tech. If you want to hear how French boards are currently talking about AI, this is the hour.

Thursday adds two at the same altitude, both free: the keynote Gouverner à l'ère de l'IA at 08:30 on why some organisations land an AI transformation and others stall, address on registration, and a dinner with Alexandra Roulet of INSEAD at 19:30 at the Yacht Club de France on AI, employment and sovereignty.

The engineering evenings

All in French. AWS UG Paris: AI Agents, Identity and Compliance on Thu at 18:30 at Lenstra, off the Champs-Élysées, takes the least glamorous and most load-bearing part of agentic AI: who the agent acts as and what it may touch. Effect Paris #7 on Tue at 19:00 is the Effect TypeScript community with production talks on error handling, dependency injection and concurrency; address on registration. Wazuh MeetUp Paris on Thu at 18:00 at La Cordée Gare de Lyon has Valentin Cheneau on the open-source security platform; Paris Angular #8 is Wed at 18:45 at Upfast.

Two more on Thursday at 18:30, both unusual: Gemba with Julien Mansuy at Theodo takes the lean practice of going to where the work happens and applies it to engineering, and Dojo IA at eXalt is the Cercle Produit's first AI dojo, rescheduled, hands-on for product people. Friday night, WordPress Paris looks at the Faaaster MCP server inside WordPress hosting - what it automates, where it should not be trusted.

Founder clinics, and a Saturday for the public

The practical rooms: financing your new business with Les Canaux, Wed at 09:30, address on registration; persuasion and credibility when speaking at Le Cargo, Wed at 19:00; the entrepreneurs' breakfast in the 17th, Thu at 09:30, EUR 10; Les B&B 75 at District B in Bercy, Thu at 18:30, EUR 5.50; and ACCÉLÉREZ VOTRE PROJET, Thu at 19:00, EUR 29. Those three are the week's only paid events. LadyRise's Meet&Flow for women founders and freelancers is Saturday at 15:00, address on registration.

Saturday is otherwise the most Parisian thing here: three free rooms aimed at the public rather than the industry. Quand le jeu vidéo joue sa partition at the Forum des images at 09:00 is the Conservatoire national du jeu vidéo's eighth colloquium, on music and sound design in games. The Mairie du 13e then hosts two Déb'Acteur workshops, a mock trial of ChatGPT at 10:30 and IA & réseaux sociaux at 14:00, both open from age 14.

Venue corner: STATION F, four ways

Four of this week's rooms sit on one campus: ai-PULSE on the Open Platform, FlexUp's #38 and #37, and the English Business Network at La Felicità, which is the restaurant on site rather than a meeting room. If you have never been, Tuesday is the day - the building is at its most open during ai-PULSE.

Who should go where

Founders, your week is unusually practical. FlexUp #38 on Monday for the pitch-and-mingle version, the Les Canaux financing workshop on Wednesday if your question is a bank rather than a VC, and the oral-persuasion workshop at Le Cargo the same evening if your deck is better than your delivery. Skip the generic paid afterworks: Thursday holds eleven events and the better three cost nothing.

Investors. Two rooms, both early. The Cercle des Administrateurs briefing on Tuesday is where French governance talks to itself about AI; the INSEAD dinner on Thursday is that conversation with economics attached. For dealflow, ai-PULSE.

Builders. Thursday is your evening and you have to choose: agent identity and compliance with AWS, or Gemba at Theodo. AWS if you are shipping agents now, Gemba if you are trying to fix how your team works. Effect Paris on Tuesday is the most specialised room of the week and knows it.

Sales and marketing. Thin, and we would rather say so. ai-PULSE is the one room with volume and buyers in it.

The big one: Scaleway takes the Open Platform

Tue 13 Oct, 08:00 - ai-PULSE 2026 by Scaleway, STATION F, free.

<img src="https://joezfbehxxpcrpliygvo.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/hero-images/event-paris-ai-pulse-2026-by-scaleway-1013.webp" alt="ai-PULSE 2026 by Scaleway at STATION F" class="w-full rounded-lg my-6" loading="lazy" />

Scaleway's applied-AI conference has grown into one of the largest AI dates in the French calendar, and this year it takes the whole Open Platform at STATION F for a day and an evening. Free, in English, in the one building that doubles as an argument for French tech. It earns the headline for a dull reason: it is the only room this week holding the infrastructure side, the model side and the companies deploying this stuff at once, with nobody charging you to watch. Clear Tuesday.

Worth knowing

  • Thursday holds eleven of the week's 31 events, including the MIT symposium at breakfast and five separate rooms at 18:30. Plan it properly or lose it.
  • Six listings have no address. Effect Paris, the Les Canaux workshop, ACCÉLÉREZ VOTRE PROJET, LadyRise, the Mirokaï afterwork and the Gouverner keynote all release the venue on registration. A blank field beats a guessed building.
  • Two workshops, one room, same hour. Créez votre site web ce soir and IA : Votre site en ligne ce soir both run Monday at 19:00 at the Foyer International des Etudiantes, two organisers, near-identical promises. Register for one; the second ran last Monday too, so treat it as weekly.
  • One of Thursday's afterworks is a robot bar. Edition 17 is Enchanted Tools drinking among its Mirokaï robots with the team that builds them. Free, address on registration.

What time do people actually arrive?

Early for the 08:00 and 08:30 starts - the badge queues at STATION F and the Auditorium Bouygues are real. For the 18:30 meetups, fifteen minutes late is normal. The exception is the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée on Tuesday: be there before the host.

Tell us what we are missing

Last time we asked, somebody went looking and this week filled up. If you run something that is not in our Paris listings - a meetup, an afterwork, a demo night - send it over. Early readers here still shape what gets covered.
