Design Truth / Bristol

An evening gathering of the industrial and product design community, run as a Movember fundraiser. The listing is honest about how light the format is: the only agenda item published is "drink, pizza, go home", and no talks, panels or speakers are listed. Hosted by Brad at Design Truth, the industrial design community that runs informal city meetups for in-house designers, consultancies and students. It runs for five hours, 18:00 to 23:00, at Tobacco Factory Theatres in Southville. Arriving with a moustache is, in the organiser's words, "not essential but encouraged". Tickets are 13.55 pounds including the Eventbrite fee, and the refund policy is no refunds. Why go: this is a bar-and-pizza evening, not a programme, so go for the room rather than the content. Worth it if you design physical products in or around Bristol and want three hours of unhurried shop talk with people who do the same work; skip it if you need takeaways.
