about this room
IRISSCON, the Irish Reporting and Information Security Service's annual cybercrime conference, runs a full day at the Aviva Stadium. Talks and discussion across ransomware, threat research, scam victimisation and online behaviour, with a deliberately long networking track and an after-party.
Confirmed so far: Rik Ferguson (VP Security Intelligence, Forescout), Tarah Wheeler (Chief Security Officer, TPO Group), Selena Larson (Threat Researcher, Proofpoint), Bob McArdle (Director of Cybercrime Research, TrendAI), Peter Griggs (Cyber Security Architecture, Product and Testing Manager, Transport for London), Dr Nicola Fox Hamilton (cyberpsychology, IADT) and Maureen King (Founder and CEO, iTrust 6A), with a speaker from the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau and Gordon Smith as MC. More to be announced. Doors 8.30am, 9am to 5.30pm, 50 euro, over-18s.
why goIRISSCERT is not-for-profit and the line-up mixes vendor threat researchers with law enforcement and academia, which is a harder room to buy your way into than most security conferences. Best for security engineers, incident responders and anyone carrying risk or privacy responsibility.
