About this event

A full day at the Rediscovery Centre in Ballymun pulling together repair cafes, maker groups, community organisations and policy people from across the island. The programme covers starting and running a repair cafe, building sustainable repair networks, skills and knowledge sharing, cross-border collaboration, and where community repair sits in the circular economy. Speakers announced so far are Jeffrey Roe, Claire Downey, Phoebe Brown, Andreas Kopp, Theo Dillon and Navjot Sawhney, with more to be added. Organised by the Dublin Maker Team. Doors at 09:30 for a 10:00 start, running to 17:00, free parking on site. Why go: this is the hardware end of Dublin's maker community in one room, with the people who actually run the repair cafes rather than the people who write about them. Worth the Saturday if you build physical things or work on right-to-repair.
