Dublin Dataviz closes 2026 with Stefan Müller, Associate Professor at University College Dublin and creator of the Irish Polling Indicator.
His talk covers the datasets behind Irish politics, how the Polling Indicator is built, validated and handed to newsrooms, how to construct time series from newspaper archives, and how to turn poll reports into open-source data. He'll also look at how accurate the aggregation model has been in every general election from 1989 to 2024, and compare tools for building interactive news graphics.
