Hosted by GameDevEd Edinburgh Game Developer Meetup
GameDevEd's late-October social for Edinburgh game developers, part of a fortnightly run of informal evenings for the city's games community.
The format is a pub social rather than a talks night — developers, artists, designers and audio people from studios and solo projects, from 18:00, free, with the venue confirmed on the Meetup page. It sits alongside Edindies' Saturday co-working as the other half of Edinburgh's games-community rhythm: one is for working, this one is for talking.
games hiring and collaboration in Scotland runs almost entirely on who people know, and this is the most regular room in Edinburgh where that happens. Best for anyone working in or trying to get into games — studio staff, indies, students and people considering the jump from general software.
