About this event
UKAI's day-long summit on sovereign AI: whether Britain should build its own AI stack, what government can usefully do about it, and where a mid-sized economy can realistically specialise. The trade association runs it, so the room is weighted towards policy, procurement and infrastructure rather than product.
The published agenda opens at 09:30 with a keynote on sovereign AI and Britain's industrial future, then splits into parallel tracks across the day: responsible AI and standards, sustainable infrastructure, national security and operational resilience, government as a customer, investing in British AI, devolved AI and reskilling, and trust and safety. It closes at 17:30 on the UKAI Sovereign AI Compact. UKAI names no speakers on the page beyond referring to a minister. The Sovereign AI Awards are announced the same evening and take a separate booking.
From £150. UKAI's own page gives the venue only as The Oval in central London, with no street address, and its header time of 12:30 contradicts the agenda's 17:30 finish.
Why go: the clearest read you will get in one day on where UK AI policy and public money are actually heading, which matters if you sell to government or depend on UK compute. Best for policy, infra and gov-tech people; founders chasing customers will find the investment and procurement tracks the useful half.
