Tech Events by Birmingham .NET & MAUI (Xamarin) User Group

A talk on building your own web analytics from server logs, rather than handing visitor data to a third-party tracker. Dave Manton walks through the technical problems of an in-house analytics system: handling high volumes of log data, processing user interactions at scale, and turning raw lines into numbers people can use. Hosted by the Birmingham .NET & MAUI user group, which meets monthly at Bluetel Solutions, 4 Temple Row, next to Snow Hill station, from 18:30. Free; RSVP on Meetup. Why go: a practical, build-it-yourself talk in a small user-group room where questions are easy to ask. Best for .NET and back-end developers, and anyone weighing privacy-friendly alternatives to off-the-shelf analytics.

with Freddie Dugdale (Speaker, Birmingham .NET & MAUI User Group)

.NET Aspire has had a great deal of attention in the .NET world without it always being obvious what the thing actually is or where it fits. Freddie Dugdale gives a practical tour from local development through to real systems, at Bluetel Solutions next to Snow Hill Station. Aimed at working .NET developers who have read the announcements and want to see it running against something realistic. Free, hosted by the Birmingham .NET & MAUI User Group.

with Mike Irving (Microsoft MVP, Developer Technologies (.NET & Web), Independent)

Microsoft MVP Mike Irving presents "‑.NET, IoT and Hedgehogs!" - an experimental journey using C#/.NET and IoT to capture and auto-curate video of garden hedgehogs, spanning device access, cloud storage, serverless functions and a public website, plus the work to bring the code cross-platform to Linux on a Raspberry Pi. A genuine technical talk from Birmingham's .NET & MAUI developer community, with food and networking from 18:30 and the talk at 19:00. Free to attend; hosted at Bluetel Solutions by Snow Hill Station.
