Blockchain Scotland's second flagship DeFi summit returns to Edinburgh's New Town for a full day on decentralised protocols, tokenisation, risk management, regulation and autonomous finance. Building on the 2025 edition (18 speakers, backed by the Ethereum Foundation, Gnosis, Linea and Nexus Mutual), the 2026 programme is a curated line-up of around 25 speakers across keynotes, panels, fireside chats and lightning talks, spanning institutional DeFi, stablecoins and on-chain banking, tokenised real-world assets, Layer 2 / zkEVM scaling, agentic finance and AI agents, and policy and digital-asset clearing. Confirmed speakers include Prof. Aggelos Kiayias (Chair in Cyber Security & Privacy, University of Edinburgh; Chief Scientist, IOHK), Aleks Tomczyk (Chief Executive, FinTech Scotland), Matthew Fisher (CEO, Katana) and Dominic Marley (Institutional Relations, Lido Finance). Held in a 300-seat auditorium five minutes from Waverley; ticket includes talks, lunch, refreshments and a drinks reception. FinTech Scotland is a community partner.
