The Adobe Creative Tour returns to Rome for an afternoon of workshops and live demos on Adobe's creative tools and how generative AI is changing them. Sessions are hands-on and built around the daily workflows of people producing visual content, closing with moving from 2D to 3D using Adobe Photoshop and Wacom. Conceived, promoted and organised by BG&Partners at Hotel Abitart. Useful for designers, art directors, videomakers and marketing teams who want to see the tools in the hands of someone who actually uses them.
An afternoon forum at Europa Experience on Piazza Venezia bringing together institutions, the defence sector, industry, technology companies and researchers to discuss security and competitiveness in Italy and Europe. The programme spans aerospace and space, defence, cybersecurity and hybrid threats, artificial intelligence and autonomous systems, industrial supply chains, and European technological sovereignty, through keynotes, round tables and networking. Two days at Rome's Casa dell'Architettura where the housing ecosystem meets to work through the changes under way and compare notes: communications, digital platforms, data and services reshaping the property and residential market. The format pairs content sessions with structured meetings between companies, professionals, partners and stakeholders, designed to multiply connections rather than stop at presentations. Free access to the full 19 and 20 October programme, with a networking aperitivo and dinner on the 19th.
Wednesday 21 October— 3 events
with Renato Brunetti (President, Fondazione Mondo Digitale) · Mirta Michilli (Director, Fondazione Mondo Digitale) · Valentino Catricalà (Curator, Fondazione Mondo Digitale) + 1 more
Fondazione Mondo Digitale marks twenty-five years with a week-long programme across the Orto Botanico and its own Palestra dell'Innovazione: a digital-economy conference on the opening day, then installation openings by artist Loris Cecchini, guided tours, open labs, family workshops and a documentary premiere. The through-line is the foundation's argument about research, universities, business and social innovation feeding one another. Mostly public engagement and celebration rather than professional programming, so it lives on the organiser and venue pages.
A four-day expoforum on the marine economy, organised by Fiera Roma at Piazzale Mediterraneo in Fiumicino. The programme spans ports and logistics, shipbuilding, offshore energy, environmental monitoring and the digital technologies running through them: sensing, satellite data, modelling and platforms for managing maritime infrastructure. A meeting point for companies, research centres, institutions and investors active in the Mediterranean blue economy.
with Nadine Methner (Head of Business Banking, ING Italia) · Ilaria La Manna (Creative Director and tech expert, Independent) · Dario Costantini (National President, CNA) + 1 more
ING Business Banking and Fondazione Mondo Digitale bring their WeLead format to Rome with CNA Impresa Donna and Citta Metropolitana di Roma Capitale: an afternoon of networking and short talks built around a ninety-minute 'creativethon' in which teams use AI tools to turn a real business problem into a new product or service, then pitch it in sixty seconds. Speakers include ING Italia's head of business banking and CNA's national president. Aimed at women running or starting a business who want hands-on time with AI rather than another panel about it.
Thursday 22 October— 2 events
with Emanuele Levi (CEO, CDP Venture Capital) · Davide Turco (President, Italian Tech Alliance) · Andrea Ciampalini (General Director and Head of Venture Capital, Lazio Innova) + 2 more
Two days at Lazio Innova on venture capital and startup investment in Italy and the Lazio region. Day one, built around the Italian Tech Alliance, covers market data, the policy debate in parliament, institutional investors and pension funds, and technology transfer, with CDP Venture Capital, Banca d'Italia and Growth Capital among those taking part. Day two is the Fare Venture 2 open day, presenting the INNOVA Venture 2 fund, the TT Lazio programme and the region's accelerator instruments, and closing with one-to-one meetings between startups and funds. Attendance is free and you can book either day or both.
with Camilla Crucito (CEO and Co-founder, Flowlee)
An evening at Talent Garden Ostiense on how AI is actually being put to work inside organisations and across sectors, run with the Mindstone community. The format is case studies and live demos from practitioners, startups and companies, followed by a round table with questions from the room and then informal drinks. Camilla Crucito, CEO and co-founder of Flowlee, is among those presenting. People attending in person also get access to the Mindstone platform, where the demos and video highlights are published afterwards.
Friday 23 October— 4 events
The 14th Maker Faire Rome takes over the Gazometro in Ostiense for three days — robotics and AI, AR/VR, IoT, digital fabrication, space, foodtech and circular economy, across exhibitions, conferences and workshops. Main partner Eni, with STMicroelectronics, Arduino and DigiKey among the gold partners. Ticket sales had not opened as of late August, so check the site before planning around it.
The eighth edition of the Italian Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machines' annual conference, running inside Maker Faire Rome at the Gazometro. This year adds a full peer-reviewed paper track, with selected work published in Springer's Proceedings in Advanced Robotics, alongside the extended abstracts, hands-on demos, exhibition and outreach sessions the conference is known for. Three days in one place with most of the Italian robotics research community, the spin-outs it produces and the industrial engineers who buy from them - the strongest deep-tech room in Rome this month.
with Roberta Angelilli (Vice President and Councillor for Economic Development, Regione Lazio)
A one-hour workshop inside Maker Faire Rome, in Aula 22 of the ISA pavilion at the Gazometro, on turning research results into companies through the Technology Transfer Lazio programme. It covers the programme's strategy, the investment and networking opportunities open to research teams and spinouts, and marks the opening of its second call. Attendance is free and registered attendees are emailed a free Maker Faire entry ticket. The area is filmed and photographed.
A two-hour evening gathering on the Campidoglio presented as a meeting point for digital culture, creativity and Roman innovation. It is aimed at people following digital trends and innovation in the city and at anyone who wants to meet others working in the field. The organisers describe it as a mix of learning, conversation and informal socialising rather than a conference programme; no speakers were published for this edition.

with Giulia Lotti (Experience Strategy and Service Design Manager, SheTech)
A networking evening at Binario F near Termini on technology and digital careers, in a Career Cocktail Canvas edition. Rather than a panel, the session is a hands-on creative exercise: each person maps their own professional path and then compares it with others in the room. Giulia Lotti, who has spent over a decade consulting on digital transformation, leads the activity, and the evening closes with open networking.
Wednesday 28 October— 5 events
with Paolo Benanti (President of the AI Commission for Information, Presidency of the Council of Ministers) · Paolo Zangrillo (Minister for Public Administration, Government of Italy) · Adriano Paroli (Senator and promoter of the event, Senato della Repubblica) + 3 more
A conference in the Sala Caduti di Nassirya at Palazzo Madama, promoted by Senator Adriano Paroli, on how artificial intelligence can reshape public administration and strengthen Italy's institutions and competitiveness. Four thematic talks bring together public officials, AI practitioners and innovators on the technologies and operating models behind modernising the state, with opening remarks by the Minister for Public Administration and closing remarks by Paolo Benanti, who chairs the government's AI commission on information. The session is also streamed on the Senate's WebTV and YouTube channel.
The Green Building Council Italia's annual forum at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, on decarbonising the built environment and the technologies that make it measurable: building certification and rating, digital twins and energy performance monitoring, low-impact materials, retrofit of existing stock, and the European rules redrawing the sector. Relevant to anyone working in proptech, energy or building data, as well as to designers and construction firms.
Lazio Innova and EISMEA, the EU agency that runs the Interregional Innovation Investments instrument, spend a day on how Italian regions and companies actually use it: who has won, how the multi-region consortium model works in practice, and where Italian participation is thin. I3 co-funds the commercialisation stage of interregional innovation projects, which makes it one of the few EU lines that reaches scale-ups rather than only research consortia. Useful if you are raising non-dilutive money for a cross-border deployment, or advising companies that are. Free, full day, booking required.
A live pitch evening at the Zest hub by Termini: a handful of startups take the stage in front of a panel of investors and operators, while the rest of the room watches, reacts and networks. The pitches are filmed, so founders who make the stage also walk away with usable video. Run by Silicon Startup, who operate the same format in Milan. Useful on two fronts: for founders raising a first round who want to test the pitch on a real audience, and for anyone wanting to see what is moving in Rome's early stage without needing an invitation-only room. Free to attend with registration. The evening is run in Italian.
A recurring English-language evening meetup in Campo de' Fiori for startup founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, side-hustlers, freelancers, investors and innovators. No programme or speakers - the format is open networking over drinks.
Thursday 29 October— 1 event
Who is the author of an AI-generated image? Who owns code a model wrote? The rules are not settled, and Talent Garden's sixth Kaleidoscope AI session works through what that means for anyone shipping generated work.

The largest tech conference landing in Rome this autumn, and by some distance: SiGMA's global summit moves to Fiera Roma for four days with around 30,000 attendees, 1,200 exhibitors and 550 speakers across five stages. The gaming industry is the anchor, but the programme that matters to a general tech audience sits alongside it — the co-located AIBC track on AI and blockchain, FX World on digital finance and payments, plus a startup pitch competition and a heavy investor presence. Speakers announced include European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani. Paid passes from EUR 385; operators and C-level executives can apply for complimentary passes.
Tuesday 3 November— 2 events
At the Acquario Romano, MOST - Italy's National Centre for Sustainable Mobility - sets out its next phase of development following the end of its PNRR-funded programme, together with its Strategic Agenda. The discussion centres on the Centre's role, the relationship between research and industry, how to make use of the skills and infrastructure built over recent years, and the directions MOST intends to keep contributing along. One of the few Rome dates where the national mobility research system presents itself openly to companies and investors. Free with registration, places limited.
with Roberto Navigli (Full Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Sapienza University of Rome / Babelscape)
An evening at the Collegio Romano led by Roberto Navigli, full professor of Artificial Intelligence at Sapienza and co-founder of Babelscape, on what happens when cultural heritage becomes data: language models trained on historical archives, semantic disambiguation across languages, and the line between documented memory and memory reconstructed by machines. Short and dense, and useful to anyone working on NLP, knowledge graphs or archive digitisation. Free with registration.
Wednesday 4 November— 1 event
A hands-on evening from the Rome AWS user group built as a coding contest rather than a talk: write a Python Navigator class that walks an avatar through a text maze it cannot see, using Kiro to break the problem into phases and set success criteria before any code is written. That is the real subject - specification-driven development with an AI coding agent, practised on a problem small enough to finish in an evening and awkward enough to expose sloppy specs. Prizes at the end, and a room of engineers who do this for a living.
