#ADMINBIRRAS Barcelona, December

Sysarmy Barcelona's #AdminBirras is the monthly informal gathering for the people who keep systems running: sysadmins, developers, DBAs, InfoSec and networking roles, and anyone with an interest in the field. First Thursday of every month from 19:30, at PIBA Barcelona (Sector Arriba), Carrer d'Enric Granados 77, in l'Eixample. No talks and no agenda: a table is held at the bar and people talk about work, incidents and tooling with others doing the same job. Sysarmy is the Spanish-speaking community of systems professionals, with meetups in several cities. The December edition runs until 23:30. Free entry, sign up on Meetup. Why go: it is the Barcelona room where operations and infrastructure people actually turn up, a group that barely features in the city's product and startup events. Best for sysadmins, SREs, DBAs and security.
