An evening on what the research loop looks like once AI touches every step of it: hypothesis, simulation, experiment. Part of Berlin Science Week, with the international science community in town.
Two panels. "When AI Thinks: What's Left for the Scientist?" at 18:30, then "When AI Acts: Should We Just Let It Run?" at 19:15. Hosted by Merantix AI Campus with Tiptree Systems, whose AI scientific coordinator Althea routes knowledge between researchers, and Dunia Innovations, a Berlin deeptech using physics-informed AI and robotic automation for electrochemical materials.
Published programme: 18:00 welcome and drinks, panels from 18:30, networking from 20:15, close 21:00. The organiser's own header gives 18:00 to 20:00. Free, at the AI Campus in Wedding.
the panels are pointed at what a scientist actually does once the model drafts the hypothesis, which is the argument the field is avoiding. Best for researchers and ML engineers working on science problems.
