eGov Lab Talk: AI for Municipalities

A free virtual Lab Talk from Fraunhofer FOKUS on how AI is arriving in local public administration — automated processing of applications, chatbots for citizen enquiries, analysis of large datasets — and what that demands of the institutions using it. Alongside the efficiency case, the session takes on data protection, transparency, errors in automated decision-making and the skills public bodies need to build. The programme combines research and administrative practice: the URBAN.KI project, three concrete AI use cases, and a framework for identifying role-specific generative-AI competencies, closing with Q&A. Welcome by Dr. Jens Klessmann, Head of Digital Public Services at Fraunhofer FOKUS. Registration required by 6 November.
