About this event

The Hertie School's Digital Governance Research Colloquium hosts Justin Bullock, Vice President of Policy at Americans for Responsible Innovation and an affiliate associate professor at the University of Washington. His talk asks how the United States has actually responded to advances in AI, and how far those responses have changed what the leading AI companies do. He goes through the governance tools currently on the table in Washington and sets them against what is happening internationally, including in Europe. Runs online via Microsoft Teams, 18:00 to 19:00 CET, free with registration. Why go: it is a research colloquium, not a keynote, so the discussion is the point. Useful if you are tracking AI regulation across jurisdictions and want the US picture from someone lobbying inside it rather than a summary written from Brussels.
