About this event

A Publix Thursday on the assumption that AI is the answer to an industry under cost pressure, and what newsrooms get instead if they treat it as a reason to rethink the work rather than cut it. Tav Klitgaard runs the Danish platform Zetland, one of Europe's more convincing cases for community-funded, in-depth journalism that experiments with technology without handing over editorial judgement. Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen has spent years researching how automation changes editorial work. Publix Executive Director Maria Exner moderates, with a welcome from Sarah Luisa Thiele of MIZ Babelsberg. Held in English, doors 18:00, in cooperation with the Medieninnovationszentrum Babelsberg. Why go: the rare AI-and-journalism panel with an operator who has actually built the alternative, not just described it. Best for anyone running editorial products, media startups or newsroom tooling.
