About this event

This month's Dublin C++ User Group talk, at Anseo on Lower Camden Street. John McFarlane speaks on what it takes to write C++ to a reasonable standard of quality: bug-catching tools, contracts and undefined behaviour, safety-critical considerations, Agile practice and workflow, then a walk through experimental projects combining the approaches he has settled on. He is a software engineer working in automotive software, previously in server software and games, and has sat on national and international C++ committees including the NSAI. 19:00, free. City centre, and the group notes there is no free parking. Why go: safety-critical C++ practice is thinly covered in Dublin, and this is a working engineer on tools he actually uses rather than a survey talk. Best for C++ engineers, especially anyone shipping into automotive or other regulated targets.
