about this room

John Eccleshare, Chief Information Security Officer at bet365, on how AI is changing security: the threats that come with it, the tools defenders are using in response, and an open discussion on handling both.

Eccleshare has spent more than twenty years in security across financial services, pharma, the public sector and online gaming, covering information security, data protection and regulatory compliance. He now runs security at one of the UK's biggest online gambling operators, a business that is attacked constantly and regulated heavily.

The Manchester Statistical Society hosts at Cross Street Chapel, 18:00 to 20:00, free, with coffee from 17:30. Entrance at Cross Street and Chapel Walks, opposite Pret; use the intercom. Registration closes five minutes before the start.

why go

a sitting CISO at a high-target consumer business talking about AI threats from the defending side, in a room that tends to ask hard questions. Best for security engineers, risk and compliance leads, and founders handling customer data.
