BetterSoftware 2026

The ninth edition of BetterSoftware, the Italian conference on green software and sustainable IT: software carbon footprint, green DevOps, sustainable UX, and the ethics and governance of how software gets built and run. Organised by GrUSP, produced by Apropos. Held at TeamSystem, Piazza Luigi Einaudi 10. The call for speakers is still open and no programme has been published, so there is no official start time yet. Tickets are paid: the page shows a limited discounted price alongside a full price, and the cost rises as the date approaches. Why go: it is the only Italian conference that treats software resource consumption as an engineering problem rather than a communications one. Best for developers and tech leads who have been asked for an emissions number.
