Google Developer Group Milano takes on authentication in the Google ecosystem, starting from the identity basics — OIDC, JWT, JWKS — and ending on something that has no settled practice yet: identity and permissions for autonomous AI agents. In between: front-end security with PKCE and the Backend-for-Frontend pattern as an alternative to tokens in LocalStorage, how FedCM changes federated login as third-party cookies disappear, enterprise orchestration with Google Cloud Identity Platform (blocking functions and CEL for access control), and Workload Identity Federation in place of static credentials.
