about this room
What happens when you treat a country's legislation as a codebase? Marco Liberati walks through a git repository of more than 200,000 commits holding every Italian state law from 1861 to today.
The talk reads the corpus the way a developer would: which legislative moves map to a one-liner, which ones are traps for git, and what git log returns when the history is 165 years of national law. It's RomaJS's November meetup, hosted at the Sourcesense offices in Laurentino. Doors 19:00, talk 19:15 to 20:00, then Q&A, networking and drinks until 21:00.
Free, in Italian, registration on Meetup.
a rare talk that mixes version control, open data and civic tech with a real dataset behind it. Good for JavaScript and data developers, and anyone building on public-sector data.
