About this event

The Rome edition of Linux Day, Italy's national grassroots free-software day, hosted by the local user group Roma2LUG on Tor Vergata's engineering campus. It runs as a full day, 10:00 to 19:00, built from demos, workshops and presentations with time for networking in between. The organisers pitch it at both experienced users and complete beginners. The detailed track list was not published at listing time and no price is shown on the registration page. Why go: it is volunteer-run and free of vendor pitch, which makes it one of the few Rome rooms where sysadmins, kernel and open-source people talk shop without a sales layer. Best for developers and infrastructure engineers, and for anyone wanting a way into Rome's open-source community. The programme lands late, so check the page again nearer the date.
