Roma Game Jam 2026

The third edition of the Roma Game Dev community's game jam: 48 hours to design and build a game from scratch, in small teams, from Friday evening to Sunday evening. AANT - Accademia delle Arti e Nuove Tecnologie hosts at Via Monza 21 and provides the rooms and equipment. The format is the hackathon applied to games: a theme is announced, teams form on the spot, and the goal is a playable prototype by the end. It does not have to be a video game - board games and other formats are welcome too. Open to developers, hobbyists, students, artists and musicians, and to anyone simply curious about how a game gets made. Free, with registration on Eventbrite. Why go: it is the most practical gathering point in Rome's indie scene, two days building something next to people who do game development for a living rather than talking about it. Best for developers, designers and composers who want to work in a team.
