About this event

An expert workshop from BSI and DIN on where AI safety and AI security pull against each other, at DIN's own building on Burggrafenstraße. The framing is that AI breaks established risk concepts: safety thinking assumes a system that fails predictably, security thinking assumes an attacker, and AI systems undermine both assumptions at once. The programme runs expert contributions from research, regulation and standardisation, the launch of a BSI and DIN whitepaper on safety and security, and interactive working groups meant to produce concrete courses of action rather than a panel summary. Runs 10:00 to 16:00, conducted in German. Registration goes through the DIN event page. No price is stated there. Why go: the standards that AI Act conformity will eventually be measured against are drafted in rooms like this one, and the working-group format lets you argue with them. Best for safety and security engineers, and compliance leads at companies shipping AI into regulated settings.
