Tagesspiegel Background Conference on Digitalization & AI

An end-of-year stocktake on where Germany actually stands on digitalisation and AI, under the question of whether big productivity gains are ambition or reality, and what has to happen for 2027 to be the year of implementation. Held at the Tagesspiegel publishing house near Anhalter Bahnhof, 09:00 to 18:00, organised by Tagesspiegel Background. The agenda is economic, political and regulatory rather than technical: digital sovereignty, EU digital legislation, GovTech, cloud infrastructure, gigabit rollout, cybersecurity and NIS2, and Germany's standing as an AI location. First confirmed keynote is Karsten Wildberger, Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation. The room is built for direct exchange with decision-makers and with Background's own editors. Ticket required. Why go: policy is where German AI adoption is currently bottlenecked, and this is the room where the people writing and applying those rules take questions. Best for C-level and strategy roles in tech, public sector and regulated industries.
