The AI Audit Spectrum
Women in AI Ireland and PyData Ireland run a joint panel and breakout session at Squarespace House on how you actually check whether an AI system is working as intended. Four lenses, each with a panellist: product and engineering (what 'good' looks like, testing and monitoring), governance and policy (who owns the decision and the risk), legal and regulatory (data, transparency, obligations when you deploy), and finance (what AI actually costs and how to budget for it). The panel is followed by an interactive breakout rather than a Q&A queue. Free, hosted and powered by Squarespace.

Rust 263: Getting Started with the New Rust Driver for Oracle AI Database
Rust Dublin's 263rd meetup, at tcube on O'Connell Street, on the new native Rust driver for Oracle Database. Juarez Barbosa Jnr of Oracle walks through rust-oracledb, a pure Rust thin driver that talks the Oracle Net protocol directly with no external dependencies. The session goes from installing the driver and basic authentication to running queries, connection pooling for applications that need scalable access, and a practical introduction to AI Vector Search. He has over twenty years in the field, previously leading Azure developer relations at Microsoft. Booking is through rustdublin.org as well as Meetup. Free, 18:15.

A mini dataviz "unconference"
Dublin Dataviz follows its Dublin Tech Week workshop with an unconference at The Digital Hub on Thomas Street. There is no fixed agenda and no speaker list. Attendees set the sessions on the night and the format runs on what the room collectively knows rather than one person presenting to the rest. The group is explicit that this is a deliberate break from its usual talk-plus-Q&A evening and that the normal format returns afterwards. Places are limited and there is a EUR 5 charge, which goes entirely on pizza. Drinks in Arthur's afterwards.

ComReg Stakeholder Breakfast 2026
ComReg, Ireland's communications regulator, opens its annual stakeholder breakfast to the sector it regulates. The stated subject is the significant changes coming to the digital and communications sectors over the next several years - the regulator's own read rather than a vendor's. Three hours at The Marker Hotel on Grand Canal Square, 8am to 11am, built around a keynote and a panel discussion. ComReg has not published who is speaking. You register your interest rather than buy a ticket, and no price is shown on the page.

From Demo to Dollars: Building and Monetising AI Startups
The final GEC AI Forum event of the year - a builder-first session for AI founders, developers and product creators, explicitly not a sales gallery. Opens with an AI Demo Deep Dive: a curated line-up of AI startups showing live product demos and talking only about the build - what worked, what failed and the engineering problems they had to solve. Then a panel, From Proof of Concept to Payment, on turning a working prototype into repeatable revenue, followed by open networking. Ninety minutes at the Guinness Enterprise Centre on Taylor's Lane, 12.30pm to 2pm. Tickets are limited. No speakers are named yet and the organiser has not published a ticket price, so check the registration page before travelling.
