EdLUG's monthly Edinburgh meeting. It moved venue in late October: now the study space at the Futures Institute, entered through the Canopy Cafe door off Middle Meadow Walk, not Old College. The format is open: people bring laptops and work through whatever is broken, and the group trades notes on distros, shell scripting, desktop customisation, server management and self-hosting. There is a show-and-tell strand too: hardware projects, open-source replacements for everyday software, and which machines run Linux cleanly. All stages and disciplines — studio staff, indies, students, artists, audio and community people. Edinburgh Tech Network's monthly evening drinks for people working in tech — engineers, product managers, designers, UX. No talks, no slides, no agenda; the whole format is conversation in a pub. She Scales is the Royal Bank Accelerator's monthly morning for women founders, and this edition is a Global Entrepreneurship Week #IAmRemarkable workshop on self-promotion, at the Accelerator, 142-144 Princes Street, Edinburgh.
