JUG Milano Meeting #174 — MLS (RFC 9420): Bringing Group E2E Encryption to the Enterprise

JUG Milano's 174th meeting is on MLS (RFC 9420), the standard for group end-to-end encryption. The talk starts from why traditional E2E struggles with large groups, works through how MLS handles shared state and its cryptographic guarantees, and shows with practical examples how to adapt the standard to enterprise domain architectures. Speaker: Lorenzo Vannucchi, Solution Architect at Nexi Group. Held in eDreams ODIGEO's offices on Via Gustavo Fara 26: JUG news and activities from 18:45, talk from 19:00, close around 20:30. In-person attendance is free and open, but Eventbrite registration is required. Why go: MLS is a recent standard that gets little airtime in Italian, and this is someone taking it into production in payments. Best for Java developers and architects working on security and messaging.
