Physicist and science communicator Massimo Temporelli closes the opening day of CultureLink Festival 2026 at MIND with a talk on the relationship between artificial intelligence, training and education — how digital technologies are reshaping learning, and what that means for every generation. Temporelli, a physicist by training, has spent more than twenty-five years popularising scientific, technological and innovation culture across university lecture halls, museums, books, radio, television, companies and FabLabs. Milan’s flagship developer community conference, run jointly by GDG Cloud Milano and GDG Milano. The 2026 theme is "from generative AI to agents", organised around four pillars — models and generative AI, agents and tool use, AI in production, and responsible AI — alongside Android, Web, Cloud, Flutter, Kotlin, Firebase, DevOps, open source and accessibility tracks. Casaleggio Associati’s fourth annual summit presenting their research on the state of e-commerce technology and services in Italy, hosted at the Swiss Chamber of Commerce on Via Palestro. Leading platform and service companies in the sector take part. Runs in person and in live streaming. Casaleggio’s annual e-commerce report is one of the few Italian data sources people actually cite, which is what makes the presentation worth the morning. The ninth edition of Focus magazine's science, technology and innovation festival, held inside Milan's national science and technology museum under the theme "Intelligenze". Technology and AI form one of five thematic strands, alongside a 1,600 square metre interactive area with live demos and labs. The programme runs a main stage, a speaker corner and a creators' corner, plus guided museum tours.

A lunch research seminar at the POLIMI School of Management on bringing people and communities back into operations and supply chain management research. The session argues that a field built on flows, nodes and optimisation has tended to abstract away the humans inside the system, and looks at what changes methodologically and theoretically when workers and affected communities are treated as subjects rather than parameters. The Milan edition of Italy’s national Linux Day, the country’s largest annual event on GNU/Linux, free software and open culture, running since 2001 under the Italian Linux Society. Organised by two university communities — POuL at the Politecnico and unixMiB at Milano-Bicocca — and hosted in the Trifoglio building on Campus Leonardo. Talks, workshops, exhibitor stands and technical help desks span Linux, software development, machine learning, big data, self-hosting, privacy, retro gaming and computing history.
