Museo dell'Ara Pacis, 00186 Roma

with Fabio Lalli (undefined, undefined) · Eugenio Fierro (undefined, undefined) · Marinela Profi (undefined, undefined) + 4 more

Two days of talks at the Museo dell'Ara Pacis, run by The Next Agency in a talk-show format modelled on TED, with Officine del Sapere as main partner and the patronage of the Comune di Roma. The organisers are explicit that this is not a conference about AI technology. Day one asks how people change when intelligence changes, what originality means when a machine can create, who decides when the machine decides, and the limits of what we should build — speakers include Fabio Lalli, Eugenio Fierro, Marinela Profi and Martina Pennisi. Day two turns to leadership: whether we will work more or less, leading people in the AI era, trust and reputation with Arturo Di Corinto, and how to build an AI strategy. Talks run 10:00 to around 17:30 on both days, in Italian. Free, but registration at thenextstopai.it is required and seats run out. Why go: the framing is organisational rather than technical, which is the gap in most Rome AI programming. Best for managers and founders deciding how AI changes the way their teams work.

Casa del Cinema, 00197 Roma

with Giorgio Zanchini (Journalist and chair, Rai) · Enrico Pulcini (Author, undefined) · Derrick de Kerckhove (Scientific director, Media 2000) + 4 more

Enrico Pulcini's new book, "La fine della realtà", argues that artificial intelligence changes not only what we can make but what we take to be real. Logout, the publisher, has built a panel around it rather than a reading. Rai journalist Giorgio Zanchini chairs. On the panel: Derrick de Kerckhove, scientific director of Media 2000 and a direct heir to Marshall McLuhan's work; Mirta Michilli, director of Fondazione Mondo Digitale; Luigi Garofalo, editor of Key4biz; and Mario De Caro, the Roma Tre philosopher who works on the ethics of technology. Sara Speciani of Logout joins them. Pulcini, who wrote "Giornalismo su internet" in the 1990s, presents the book. Casa del Cinema, Largo Marcello Mastroianni 1; 18:00 to 20:00. The registration page lists no price. Why go: the strongest line-up Rome has assembled this month on what generative AI does to evidence and trust. For people building AI products who want the argument from outside their own industry.

Talent Garden Ostiense, 00154 Roma

The sixth stop of Kaleidoscope AI, a national series by Opening Future with Talent Garden — seven events across five cities on the ethical, regulatory and strategic sides of AI. This edition, at Talent Garden Ostiense, is about intellectual property in synthetic content. The questions it puts are concrete: who is the author of an AI-generated image, who owns code written by a model, and what the models were trained on. The organisers' framing is that AI generates content but does not generate rights, and that generative outputs already go into the products, campaigns and processes of SMEs and startups without anyone having settled ownership. The published programme is welcome from 18:15, a kick-off by Opening Future at 18:40 and a keynote at 18:50; no speakers were named at listing time. Entry from 18:15, start 18:30, free parking. No price is published. Why go: the IP question is the one that actually stops generative work shipping in regulated or client-facing settings, and this is a legal-and-strategy room rather than a build session. Best for founders and product and marketing leads using generative tools in client work.

Sourcesense S.p.A., 00144 Roma

with Emanuel Tesoriello (Founder, Spaghetti Coders)

A single-talk evening meetup on running coding agents from a phone. Emanuel Tesoriello, founder of Spaghetti Coders, walks through the setup he built after becoming a father rearranged his working hours: agent sessions running in tmux on a remote machine, reached over Tailscale, driven from a terminal client he wrote in Flutter with dartssh2 and xterm.dart, with an Android emulator mirrored back over scrcpy. He covers session persistence when the connection drops, what supervising an agent actually means on a six-inch screen, where the workflow breaks down, and the security posture needed before pointing any of it at client code. Hosted by GDG Roma Città at Sourcesense in Poggio Laurentino, 19:00 to 21:30. Free, and registration is through the GDG chapter page. Why go: it is a specific working architecture rather than a survey of agent tooling, and the failure modes get as much airtime as the demo. Best for developers already running coding agents who want someone else's scar tissue.

Acquario Romano, 00185 Roma

The annual public event of MOST, Italy's National Centre for Sustainable Mobility, held at the Acquario Romano on Piazza Manfredo Fanti. MOST is a foundation linking universities, research bodies, companies, regions and institutions on sustainable transport, and this edition marks the end of its PNRR-funded phase. The substance is the presentation of its Strategic Agenda for 2027 to 2029, alongside what it intends to become as a standing body rather than a programme: how research and industry connect through it, and which new national projects follow. Registration opens at 09:30 with a welcome coffee, institutional greetings follow, then the Strategic Agenda presentation. The published agenda names no speakers. Runs 09:30 to 13:00 in Italian. Free with registration, though ticket sales had already closed at listing time. Why go: this is where the next three years of Italian mobility research funding gets described out loud, by the body that routes it. Best for mobility and climatetech founders, and university groups looking for a route into national projects. Check whether registration has reopened before travelling.

Lazio Innova, 00184 Roma

The second in-person meeting of the Lazio Aerospace & Defence Platform, the project through which Regione Lazio and Lazio Innova are mapping the region's aerospace and defence supply chains inside the work of the Lazio Aerospace Technology District. Two hours at Lazio Innova's Via Marco Aurelio offices. The core of it is a walkthrough of the innovation and internationalisation funding calls the Region is opening for both chains, and the step from simple visibility on the platform to actual matchmaking between Lazio startups, SMEs, large industrials, research bodies and universities. The page publishes no price; Lazio Innova meetings of this kind are free to attend. Registration goes through the Lazio International site. Why go: two hours to hear how the funding calls will be written from the people writing them, in a sector where Rome decides a lot. Right for anyone in aerospace or dual-use chasing public money or an industrial partner in Lazio.

Collegio Romano, 00186 Roma

with Roberto Navigli (Full Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Sapienza University of Rome / Babelscape)

A ninety-minute evening talk on how AI is changing the study, protection and promotion of cultural heritage, hosted by VIVE | Vittoriano e Palazzo Venezia at the Collegio Romano. The speaker is Arianna Traviglia, who coordinates the Centre for Cultural Heritage Technology at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. The published scope is specific: using AI on satellite imagery to find buried archaeological sites and traces of illegal digging, automatic transcription of historical manuscripts, reading inscriptions on ancient surfaces, pulling condition data about heritage out of large datasets, and the role of robots and physical AI in documenting and monitoring sites. It sits in a wider public series on AI curated by Roberto Navigli, within the programme curated by Alfonsina Russo and Edith Gabrielli. Runs 18:00 to 19:30 in Italian. Free, and already showing as sold out. Why go: applied computer vision and NLP on a problem Rome has more of than anywhere, explained by the person running the lab. It is pitched at a general audience, so expect scope over depth. Best for data and ML people curious about heritage applications.

Talent Garden Ostiense, 00154 Roma

A hands-on evening from the Rome AWS user group built as a coding contest rather than a talk: write a Python Navigator class that walks an avatar through a text maze it cannot see, using Kiro to break the problem into phases and set success criteria before any code is written. That is the real subject - specification-driven development with an AI coding agent, practised on a problem small enough to finish in an evening and awkward enough to expose sloppy specs. 18:30 at Talent Garden Ostiense, free, registration on Meetup. Prizes at the end, and a room of engineers who do this for a living. Why go: writing a specification an agent can actually execute is the part most teams are getting wrong right now, and two hours here tells you whether you can do it. Best for engineers already using an AI coding agent daily and bored of demos.

with Paola Severino (President, Luiss School of Law) · Lorenzo Mariani (CEO and General Manager, Leonardo) · Nunzia Ciardi (Deputy Director General, Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale) + 4 more

A two-hour morning panel at Luiss, built around the book by Paola Severino and Antonio Gullo on criminal law and cybersecurity, held in the Toti lecture theatre on the Viale Romania campus. The line-up is the reason to pay attention. Paola Severino, president of the Luiss School of Law, gives the welcome; opening remarks come from Lorenzo Mariani, CEO and general manager of Leonardo, and Nunzia Ciardi, deputy director general of the National Cybersecurity Agency. The discussion brings in Ivano Gabrielli, director of the Postal and Communications Police cyber service, Giuseppe F. Italiano, Luiss vice-rector for AI and digital skills, and Giovanni Melillo, national anti-mafia and anti-terrorism prosecutor. Antonio Gullo moderates. Runs 11:00 to 13:00 in Italian, with open registration through a public form. No price is published. Why go: Italy's cyber enforcement and prosecution leadership in one room, in public, which does not happen often. Best for people working on security, govtech or compliance, and for anyone whose product touches Italian criminal liability.

Auditorium del Massimo, 00144 Roma

Italy's main project management gathering, now in its fifteenth edition, with over a thousand attendees at the last one. A full day at the Auditorium del Massimo across conference rooms, workshop rooms and an exhibition area, organised by ISIPM, the Italian Institute of Project Management. 08:30 to 18:00 on 6 November, free. The angle is practical and cross-sector: much of the content covers running digital and transformation projects, agile and hybrid delivery models, and where AI tooling now sits in a delivery stack. The call for speakers closed in September; the programme is published on the event site. Sessions are in Italian. Why go: a thousand delivery people in one building, and the agenda has moved on from method wars to where AI tooling actually earns its place in a delivery stack. Best for anyone running a PMO, product or delivery in a tech company or one that is digitising.

AANT Accademia delle Arti e Nuove Tecnologie, 00182 Roma

The third edition of the Roma Game Dev community's game jam: 48 hours to design and build a game from scratch, in small teams, from Friday evening to Sunday evening. AANT - Accademia delle Arti e Nuove Tecnologie hosts at Via Monza 21 and provides the rooms and equipment. The format is the hackathon applied to games: a theme is announced, teams form on the spot, and the goal is a playable prototype by the end. It does not have to be a video game - board games and other formats are welcome too. Open to developers, hobbyists, students, artists and musicians, and to anyone simply curious about how a game gets made. Free, with registration on Eventbrite. Why go: it is the most practical gathering point in Rome's indie scene, two days building something next to people who do game development for a living rather than talking about it. Best for developers, designers and composers who want to work in a team.

Università degli Studi Roma Tre - Aula Magna, 00154 Roma

A one-day forum promoted by I-Com, the Institute for Competitiveness, in the Aula Magna at Roma Tre, under the patronage of Italy's environment and energy security ministry. The published programme has three strands: the launch of the first national report on energy independence, a run of cleantech innovation examples, and a comparison between open energy initiatives, large corporates and SMEs. The page publishes no detailed agenda, no speaker list and no price. The expected audience is energy and cleantech industry and policy rather than early-stage founders. The forum runs in Italian. Why go: this is the day the first national energy-independence report lands, and in Italy the opening numbers of that debate end up in the tenders and buying decisions that follow. Useful if you sell cleantech into Italian energy incumbents, or need to see where public spending in the sector is moving.

Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, 00187 Roma

Two days in the Sala Dante at the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, run by the Italian Ministry of Culture's digitalisation directorate with the Central Institute for the Digitalisation of Cultural Heritage. Eight thematic panels cover digital skills beyond the PNRR funding window, AI applied to heritage, European digital strategies, data management, innovation partnerships and digital preservation infrastructure. Both days run 09:00 to 18:00, 11 and 12 November. Free, booking required; the registration details are still to be published on the Ministry page. Sessions are also livestreamed on the Ministry's YouTube channel, and attendance may count as training for Ministry staff. Held in Italian; the panel line-up is announced shortly. Why go: this is where Italian policy on cultural digitisation gets written down, and what comes out of these rooms turns into funding calls. Best for anyone building on cultural data, digitisation pipelines or archives, and for the suppliers who will bid on that work.

DIAG, Sapienza Università di Roma, 00185 Roma

The second annual conference on how Italian public administrations should actually introduce AI, run by the think tank Concreta-Mente with Sapienza's DIAG department of computer, control and management engineering, held at DIAG on Via Ariosto. The 2026 edition is about the decision itself: which areas and use cases to target, which technologies to pick, and which implementation approach. The use cases presented were selected by a scientific committee through an open call for papers, and contributions come from academics and serving public administrators rather than vendors. The stated aim is to pool operational experience and work towards a shared adoption model. Doors at 17:15, running 17:30 to 20:00, in Italian. No speakers were named at listing time and no price is published. Why go: govtech is where Rome's AI work actually lands, and a call-for-papers format with practitioners on stage beats the usual panel of suppliers. Best for people delivering AI inside public bodies or selling into them.

Unindustria - sede di Roma, Roma

The standing Unindustria community session for data protection officers, chief information security officers and data-governance leads at Rome and Lazio member companies - practitioners comparing notes on regulation, incidents and tooling rather than sitting through a vendor pitch. 14:30 to 17:00, hosted at member company Procter & Gamble's Rome offices on Viale Giorgio Ribotta. The agenda covers Italian and EU rules landing now on data governance, cybersecurity, digital and AI, second-half 2026 deadlines, Garante provision 476 of 18 June 2026, and governing the digital services and AI tools companies actually buy: planning, DPIA, privacy by design across purchase, rollout and go-live, and where liability sits between company and supplier. No speakers are named in advance. Registration runs through the form on the Unindustria page, members first; non-members should approach the association. Why go: DPIA and AI procurement is the question every Italian compliance team is stuck on, and this is the Rome room where the people answering it compare answers.

Spazio Vittoria, 00193 Roma

The Innovation Group's annual close-of-year fixture on Italian digital policy, this year built around technological sovereignty: where dependence on foreign infrastructure and models actually ends, what sovereign cloud and sovereign AI mean in practice, and which borders are being redrawn between institutions, large enterprises and vendors. It runs across two days and two venues: 18 November at Casina Valadier by invitation, and 19 November at Spazio Vittoria, free with prior registration. Attendance is reserved for public administration representatives, end-user companies and ICT partner or sponsor companies, and the registration form asks for an invitation code. The room is typically CIOs, public-sector digital leads, vendors and analysts. Held in Italian. Why go: the clearest annual read on where Italian public-sector and enterprise digital money is heading, and sovereign cloud is the live argument this year. Best for CIOs and public-sector digital leads - but get the invitation code sorted before planning around it.
