An evening on what artificial intelligence is already changing inside Italian banks and insurers: how a risk gets assessed, how a customer gets handled, how fraud gets caught, how decisions get made. RotaFinance frames it around two questions: what actually happens behind the scenes today, and what to expect over the next few years as workers, savers and business owners. At the Triennale di Milano, 19:00 to 21:30. Registration is open. No detailed programme or speaker list has been published yet. Why go: Milan is the centre of Italian fintech and this is a plain-language session on how AI is entering bank and insurer processes, not a technical deep dive. Best for people working in financial services who want the overall picture.

Milano Cybersecurity Meetup's edition with Broadcom on what AI does to both sides of security: lowering the barrier to sophisticated attacks, speeding up vulnerability discovery and exploitation, reshaping financial fraud, and opening new exposure wherever an organisation hands AI access to sensitive data and systems, against defenders using the same tools to find problems and respond faster. Four perspectives, named speakers: Andrea Nadelle (ethical hacker and lead pentester, ex HackerOne), Francesca Ferretti (CIO Data & Analytics, ING), Giovanni Bruner (Head of Fraud Intelligence COE, NEXI) and three Broadcom security architects. The University of Milan's K!nd4SUS CTF team introduces the sessions. 17:00 to 20:30 at Copernico Centrale. Registration is approval-gated and 111 people are already going. Buildo, 4

The Milan chapter of Agents Anonymous, run by Buildo: an open-floor evening on LLMs, agents and AI tooling. Topics are proposed on the night, and from this edition in advance too, then voted on, and the discussion starts from there. No expert panel, no keynote, no recording or livestream. It keeps the lightning-talk spirit of five-to-fifteen-minute contributions, but nobody arrives with a script. The invitation is explicit: what worked, what did not, the unexpected wins and the failures people have not told anyone about. Aperitivo from 18:30, discussions from 19:00, at Buildo's office on Via Malaga. Food and drink provided, registration open. Why go: most AI events in Milan are someone presenting a finished story. This is the opposite, practitioners comparing notes on what is actually breaking. Best for engineers and tech leads shipping agents.

ShopFully S.p.A, 20143 Milano MI

with Raffaele Bongo (Senior AI Engineer, ShopFully) · Luca Mattiazzi (AI Engineer, Pillar)

Two talks at ShopFully's Milan office, hosted by PyData Milano. Raffaele Bongo, Senior AI Engineer at ShopFully, argues that AI agents promoted everyone from doing tasks to supervising the agents that do them, and that overseeing agents is now the most mentally tiring way to work with AI. His case is for a second promotion, from supervisor to orchestrator, and for designing agent systems a team can genuinely own. Luca Mattiazzi, AI Engineer at Pillar, takes garden-path sentences such as "The old man the boat" and uses mechanistic interpretability to trace how Gemma 3 models at 1B, 4B, 12B and 27B handle syntactic reanalysis, and how that shifts with scale. Doors 18:30, talks from 19:00, aperitivo from 20:30. Free, but RSVP is required and places were nearly gone at the time of writing. Why go: one of the few Milan rooms where applied agent engineering and interpretability research share a bill. Best for ML engineers and data scientists who want depth over a product demo.

ShopFully S.p.A, 20143 Milano MI

with Raffaele Bongo (Senior AI Engineer, ShopFully) · Luca Mattiazzi (AI Engineer, Pillar)

Gratuito, RSVP obbligatorio: posti quasi esauriti.

Schedule: 19:00 welcome and networking, 19:20 talk of around fifty minutes, 20:10 questions, 20:30 close with optional networking. Hybrid: the room is in Building 41 on Via Bassini, and it is also streamed on the WordPress Community Italia YouTube channel. The organisers ask people to confirm only if they are sure they will come. Why go: a concrete WordPress migration inside a large, constrained institution, told by the person who did it. A community evening for developers working with Claude Code, organised locally by the Claude Community and hosted by the Doctolib AI community in central Milan. Hands-on demonstrations, working patterns people have actually shipped with, and the kind of unfiltered comparison of agentic coding tools that vendor events do not produce. 18:00 at Via Vittor Pisani 19; the Luma listing publishes a street address only, so there is no venue name to give.

A full day given over to Zig, the systems language building a steadily larger community around a lean syntax, hard performance numbers and an unusually transparent compilation model. This is not a conference with a stage: it is a working room. It opens at 09:30 with networking and project intros, then coding and training until 13:00, a lunch break, two more hours in the afternoon and a closing Show and Tell from 16:30. If you have never written Zig, someone will teach you; if you have, bring your project and help someone else. Run by Zig User Group Italia. At Sala Vetrata Bassini, Via Edoardo Bassini 6, five minutes on foot from M2 Piola. Free to attend; places have gone and only the waitlist is left. Why go: the one chance in Milan to spend eight hours writing Zig next to people who use it in earnest, with no slides. Best for anyone working on systems, embedded or toolchains.
